Animation Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

I know this is from Nickelodeon, but I wonder if we’ll get to hear a few mild curse words like Damn, ala 1990?

We did in the last two.

Forgive my lazy ass. Is this live-action or animated?

I'd imagine so. Especially if it's PG13

I still wanna see Leo and Ralph use their weapons but I know that won't happen haha

I like this, a lot.. focusing on that element will hopefully give it relatable heart... and humour..

Can’t imagine them smoking, drinking or doing drugs, though.

Seth Rogen developed Preacher. Don't put this reboot in a box because he did a teenage stoner comedy. For all we know this has the emotional weight of Dope or something. Just with more Pizza and giant mutant animals.

I’d say there’s a 90% chance Michaelangelo will be smoking a joint at some point.

I'm for the idea of a more emotionally grounded story.

It being another CGI reboot though...eh. I'm on the fence about that.

Honestly the TMNT 2007 film had a very decent emotional core, probably the best since the original. It just unfortunately had a dumb main plot with the monsters and the animation was nothing spectacular. It was an honest attempt though. I just think to justify another animated feature, it needs to be something really good as there is already plenty of good Turtles animation to be found.

I have to admit, not happy it's animation... I do like my real world takes.... lol

I don't care how ridiculous it sounds but if they announced it was going to be live action with practical animatronic suits it would shoot to the top of my most anticipated list.

As for now it's just another wait and see.

yea it would of been a better movie if it was a reboot instead of some weird monster plot

I'd like to see a live action , true origin story/reboot film which focuses on the two settings in Japan and in New York, which has never actually been done with the TMNT.

We've had their origin in films of course, but its always been in brief flashbacks and never really elaborated on.

They've always just appeared full formed but we never see how they got to work together as a well oiled machine .

I'd like to see how they became the Turtles we know. I know there may be those who think that part of the story isn't important, or that it needs to be told but I beg to differ.

I think there's alot of ground to mine with the idea of these 14 to 15 year old teenagers who are very different from each other, who have to learn the discipline to work together and trust each other, in addition to wanting to do what normal teens, do but instead, they have to stay hidden from the "the outside world".

I wanna see how their mission statement, for lack of a better term, conflicts with wanting to be kids.

You add to that, you have a character, Splinter ,having to strike the balance of being a strict teacher and mentor in order for them to survive ,while trying to be more than just a mentor but a father figure who wants to instill in them honor and character.

I think you could tell an interesting story involving that right of passage of the four Turtles in which each of them would have their own arch .

Its not like the cartoons which the recent films have tended to emulate, but i'd be interested in seeing that story.

I wasn’t to impressed with the animation in spiderverse either. It was like cgi stop motion. I didn’t see a big deal to it but that’s just me
