I think that’s just more Christopher Nolan giving the actors access to his own closet to pick from.

Sorry that I don’t have a link but, I just read an article from Screen Rant that talks about how WB is releasing the Birds of Prey teaser directly in theaters, skipping the online option the article also mentions that THEY DID THE SAME THING WITH TENET! So, the reason that that we haven’t seen the teaser is because WB CHOSE not to release it.
My question is can we do anything to protest this so that WB will release the teaser?

It's just a marketing ploy to get people into theaters, to check out the teasers.

So if you wanna "protest" this, then don't support WB movies. But I doubt anyone is going to do that over a teaser. :hehe:

OK then. But I call it poor marketing.
We didn’t even realize they did it.

It’s not poor marketing, since we’re all talking about it.

Point. Taken.
That having been said, I hope not too many of the other studios follow suit. I enjoy watching trailers at home.

I think it’s more of these short, less than a minute teasers.

So guys I what’s your favorite bit of Nolan marketing?

LOL it definitely was NOT the Batman Begins teaser, which consisted of a few lines of dialogue that weren't in the movie and two photos of Bale in costume that we'd already seen. And you had to scour the internet for it back then just to watch a tiny, blurry version.

The Begins teaser was great. Most people had no idea they were watching a Batman trailer until he opened up the cabinet with his costume.

The marketing was piss poor, but that teaser was great.

Damn teasers only teasing stuff.

It did the perfect job of saying, this is not Batman & Robin, or any Batman you’ve seen onscreen up to that point.

Really? That's is probably my favorite teaser for a Nolan film. Not to mention the best Batman/Bruce Wayne monologue.

Yeah, the monologue was cool but for whatever reason, putting stuff in teasers/trailers that doesn't make the final cut of the movie has always bugged me. If it's something small, it doesn't matter but that monologue was the focal point of the teaser and then it isn't used in the film. More recently, it bugged me with the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer where they show that fight with him in the Iron Spidey suit and they cut it completely out of the movie. The worst offender though was Cliffhanger in the early 90s, where EVERY trailer and TV spot (and even the movie poster) had Stallone making this crazy jump across a ravine and then they didn't use it in the movie. Now, to be fair, when teasers and trailers are cut, they usually don't have the final version of the movie. But it still bugs me when I'm waiting to see something in a film and then it doesn't happen.

I agree. BB teaser was fantastic and it really did the job. Probably my favourite one.

The problem with this new WB trend of only showing teasers in movie theaters, is once again that they disregard countries outside the US. And while I wouldn't pay for Hobbs & Shaw just to see that teaser, I know from people who did see the movie that the trailer wasn't attached to it in my country.

According to a recent interview in Variety,
Pattinson was actually on the set of Tenet with Christopher Nolan when he got the official word that he was playing Batman.
That must have been quite a cool moment indeed.

“Hey, Chris, I’m going to be the next Batman!”

“... who?”

Only thing I know about this movie so far is the JDW is going to have at least 12 different kinds of outfits throughout the movie.

Pattinson looks almost like Nolan's avatar.

Pattinson: So what's my character motivation?

Nolan: After a few years of marriage, one starts to lose their dominance in the relationship, The female counterpart no longer places you on a pedestal, and she calls you an idiot, so you fight to get your dominance back for the rest of your marriage, but you don't. Her laugh annoys you, her smell, the way she makes your tea. That impossible anger strangling the grief, until the memory of her gorgeous figure is nothing but a distance memory, she begins to look like her mother, just poison in your veins. And one day, you catch yourself wishing the person you loved had never existed, so you'd be spared your pain. Like you, your anger gives you great power, but if you let it, it will destroy you, as it almost did me.

Pattinson: What stopped it?
Nolan: On screen vengeance with female actors as her avatar.
