Action-Adventure TENET

I usee to think she looked too much like her old man, but the last pic has changed my views.

I think it's the high forehead look?

A fleet of helicopters?

Nolan- I need helicopters

Stunt Coordinator- Done

*Ten arrive on set*

Nolan- Well at least we'll have spares.......

WB just writes him blank checks.

And seeing on Wikipedia that the budget for this thing is allegedly 225M they did just that.

He's not screwing around with this one. Not that he ever does, but still. This is like peak-Nolan here.

Topping MI: Fallout in terms of any sort of helicopter sequence is going to be a tall order. But "fleet" does sound rather tasty. :yay:

Can't wait to get a real trailer soon. I enjoyed the music in the teaser but....other than that, it's the most opaque teaser for any of his films. There were a lot of confused reactions in the theater when it played before Joker. Next trailer will be crucial to getting the hype going.

I know we give Nolan a hard time about his hand to hand fight scenes (rightfully much of the time), but the man is a master with vehicular chases. The aerial scenes in Dunkirk were tops.

Yeah, I don't fully understand Nolan's bad rep on action aside from the hand-to-hand gripes, and even then he has the first Batman-Bane fight and Inception hallway scene to his name.

He comes up with great, inventive, but still somewhat believable set-pieces that have an extra level of impact above most Hollywood movies because of how thoroughly they are planned, how gorgeously they are shot, and the level of craft involved in the production design and cinematography and editing and sound design and so on--where it isn't really about what 7 different VFX studios cooked up for the action, it's what the production crew carefully fashioned that a bit of CG just tastefully enhances. The docking scene in Interstellar is poetry in motion, the armored car chase scene in TDK is one of my favorite action sequences EVER, and Dunkirk is a beginning-to-end display of technical virtuosity.

I love how mysterious this project has been so far. I know so little, and that’s awesome. Probably my anticipated non-CBM flick.

Ah, the classic Nolan prologue releases. These are always so much to look forward to.

I am suddenly even happier that I was able to snag IMAX tickets for my first TROS viewing. :yay:
