Action-Adventure TENET

Action movies and adventure films.
But anyways, the trailer looked good. So I guess they have some kind of device on them where the person can manipulate time around him? It's the only thing that makes sense, in how they're moving forward in time, while time around them is going in reverse.

Who said anything about
things making sense? :o

Excellent trailer. This is going to be huge considering that it's the only event film in July.

Not really. Ghostbusters opens the week before and Jungle Cruise the week after, which is The Rock + Disney. Morbius comes two weeks after and Minions two weeks before, if one was to count these too.

Nope.

Only Free Guy, Minions, Ghostbusters, Jungle Cruise, Bob’s Burgers, Morbius...

Maybe only Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar has a chance at being even more anticipated!

You mean you're not expecting Morbius to make a billion dollars?!! :funny:

Very..interesting! I haven't kept up with this besides knowing Christopher Nolan is directing and some of the cast. So I'm confused

I prefer the older portion of Nolan's filmography versus what he's been putting out for the last few years. He makes "smart" blockbusters for dummies, but often I've found his editing choppy and dialogue too wordy. This trailer looks intriguing, but I can't help but wonder how he's going to take a relatively complex concept like time travel and make it easy to follow through actions and not quick bits of exposition like he did in Inception.

Fantastic trailer.

Wow... this looks fantastic. I didn't enjoy Interstellar or Dunkirk all that much (brilliantly made, they just left me a bit cold), but this truly seems like a return to form.

Fingers crossed.

I feel similar.

Well it's obviously more of an artistic piece that will most likely win all sort of awards including Academy Award for Best Picture next year.

Oscar #2 for Jared Leto.

Fun fact! Leto has more Oscars than Ledger so clearly he was the better Joker.

He's done it again. I can feel it already.

Oh man, Nolan's really going full-tilt with his time obsession here. The movie looks like it's going to tick enough genre/action boxes for me to feel confident that I'll have have a blast with this, but I also hope it doesn't become too much of a headache to follow. Based on how he handled multi-layer dreaming in Inception, I think he's at least figured out a way to make this intuitive enough for a mass audience follow, and if you want to dig deeper and analyze the movie from 10 different levels (or try to pick it apart)...I'm sure you can probably do that too.

Also, sheesh, what could be worse than nuclear holocaust? I shudder to think.

My guess?

Time is moving backwards as a result of something in the future.

Washington and Pattinson can move forward.

So they're jumping into things that have happened but are being rewound.
That's an interesting thought. At first I thought the main characters had some way to control the flow of time but I guess it would be more interesting if it's the way you say.

I've said this before, but this looks like the most "Nolan" movie Nolan's ever made. All of his most common tropes dialed up to eleven.

Lead actor isn't white though. Hopefully that satisfies all the people who have been ripping him on that issue for years.

I keep watching this trailer. I ****ing love it.

That's how you make a damn trailer. This is what i miss. I had no idea about this film. I watch a trailer like that and i'm automatically intrigued. Now i will ghost until July. Opening weekend. Late showing and empty Vue cinema so i can fully immerse into a Nolan blockbuster( Did the same with Dunkirk) This will be my most anticipated thanks to cbm fatigue. Bring on 2020.

Now, I'm just looking forward to seeing the prologue on a legit IMAX screen. :hmr:
