I do think the time jumping in Dunkirk was kind of unnecessary and distracting, but that’s the only time I’ve thought so.
Memento and Prestige are some of the smartest-ly written films, bro.his movies are nowhere near as smart as people give credit for.

Read the thread. Theres more than one.
I was trying to think of a Nolan movie that doesn't isn't time themed and I guess The Following and Prestige. I haven't seen Insomnia. This made me realize that the climax of all three Batman movies basically involves a race against the clock. In Batman Begins they have to stop a speeding train, in Dark Knight they have to stop the Joker before a bomb goes off at midnight, and in The Dark Knight Rises they have to stop a nuclear time bomb. Can Nolan do a movie without time-themed Story?
It gets a Little bit boring. Looks decent anyway.
Definitely planning on seeing this in IMAX. I put IMAX off my whole life, and with Dunkirk i was like "okay lets do this". that was an experience that I wasn't ready for, so yeah Im definitely seeing this in IMAX.
Quentin Tarantino has put Dunkirk second on his top ten of the decade list. Impressive.
Insert Bane voice.
He said he finally watched Logan. Curious what his thoughts are on that film as well. Was just coming here to post that. I actually listened to the podcast where he talks about it, very cool. Didn't see that one coming! I haven't felt the urge to revisit Dunkirk (though I was super impressed with it), but hearing Quentin gush about it makes me want to give it another watch soon.
Quentin Tarantino Says Christopher Nolan’s 'Dunkirk' Is His #2 Film Of The Decade
Happy New Year all!
I love Nolan but he can go straight to Hell for keeping Tom Hardy’s face almost completely obscured in two separate films. Finally saw the prologue in proper IMAX. Wonderful. Though I did laugh when I realized how much Nolan seems love to have his dialogue muffled by masks. Every. Single. Nolan "prologue" has featured this.![]()
