Action-Adventure Terminator: Dark Fate

Yeah it will be 6 months out on May 1st. I'm thinking it might be attached to John Wick 3.

I thought they might have had a trailer ready to go with Endgame given how huge that movie is going to be.

That would certainly be wise. I doubt plus-minus week matters much. The only obstacle can be - FX for the trailer isn't ready.

Yea you really don't see those types of shots in movies anymore. Could be down to the era and film making seemed to be more experimental back then. You could risk more and sometimes that would pay off. All i want from a Terminator film is to feel dread or to feel hopeless. I don't want to see Terminators throwing people around and getting defeated in easy ways. I don't get how Technological advancements in our world today can't be translated as a detriment in a Terminator film lol I mean ffs Terminator films have been foreshadowing our downfall with technology for years . I at least hope this film scratches beneath the surface on that matter. In all honesty we just want a Terminator revival and i have a glimmer of hope for this film. Hopefully a trailer will enforce that

That slo-mo seems very 80s but works really well and there was less of a formula back then. Now it's a lot of speed and moving parts.

One of my favorite aspects in the original Terminator is how a smaller guy wore clothes that fit Arnold's build perfectly fine.

Tech-Noir is one of my favorite scenes ever. T1 is my favorite in the franchise. I loved the horror and noir atmosphere. It probably has my favorite Arnold performance, he's so believable as a super menacing, unstoppable cold-blooded killer.

T2 is definitely amazing, but T1 is way overlooked. Hoping this can go back to it's roots a bit.

Totally agree with all of this. T1 is amazing and will always be my favourite.

I watched T2 a lot more as a kid. When I was of John Connor's age or so. :) The first one was just too unsettling and intense for me. In this respect I understand why T2 is more popular than T1. It's a lot more inclusive in terms of tone while it still keeps the DNA. As I grew older, I appreciated T1 more and more until it replaced T2 as my favorite Terminator movie.

For me, the first will always be the better film, of the two Cameron films. I saw the first (first) and the effect it had on me, whilst I saw T2 as a teen in the cinema and whilst it was 'cool' and I enjoyed it, the depth, horror and the actual 'stakes' you felt with the first where 'more', I felt.

T1 has a very Slasher vibe to it! Think I might prefer the first as well, but Judgement Day is also one of my favourite films!

Sadly I don't think the studio is interested in that anymore. It's purely a sci fi action franchise at this point.
It was always a sci-fi action franchise. Marvel's Terminator: Genisys didn't work. They will surely try to create something different tone-wise.
