Action-Adventure Terminator: Dark Fate

Everyone involved certainly helps. The story really is just a rehash of the first two films with a dash of 3 in there. But I also think this will be probably the third best Terminator film and worth seeing in the theater. I skipped both Genisys and Salvation in the theater. I remember seeing the third there but after that I lost interest in seeing what mess they could cook up without Cameron's involvement.

It was 10 years ago, but I very much remember that in 2009, the hype level for Salvation was high.

And when I mean high, it was higher than even Dark Fate now. The fandom was very much into the trailers and all the cool images that were released.

I only skipped Genysis at theaters. Saw T2, 3 and Salvation on opening weekends.

3 and Salvation aren't all that great but don't regret watching them at theatres while enjoying popcorn and large soda

Salvation, other than revealing the twist, is still imo one of the best trailers of all time. It's exciting, it's thrilling, it's intense and it gets you interesting. The NIN remix playing? Whoooo

Just wish the movie lived up to that

Salvation made for a good trailer. McG shouldn't be allowed to produce anything longer than 2 minutes.

It's irksome seeing the chatter around this film circling the same feminism drain. I'm so tired of the internet.

I really don't know how certain people are fine with Alita but hate Captain Marvel, then go and hate this movie for reasons related to the female cast.

I get the wariness for the story itself, the lack of Cameron's more direct involvement but some of the hate because there are female leads? This movie might be terrible but it won't be because *gasp* women!

What is the difference between Alita and Marvel or T6 here? Honestly don't know what the difference is.

I'm still not sure what it is about Alita though. I know she hit a few tropes (vulnerable female, young/innocent and attractive) but she was also a capable, powerful female character who led the movie. Maybe it is because she smiled more? :o

I liked Alita and I liked Captain Marvel.

My issue if the new girl is named Johanna or some garbage like that. And she's basically the new John Connor to Skynet or was always the real John Connor.

"some garbage like that"
wow...

This franchise is already a zombified corpse. You can't walk back what you did in Genisys with this rumored scenario, when what they did in Genisys annoyed fans and ticked them off. This reads like an do-over of Genisys more than anything else, which Cameron was sure to personally endorse.

What does that have anything to do with not knowing the main character's name...
