I mean if this is a different timeline wouldn't Kyle Reese still exist even in this Dark Fate timeline? Kyle Reese was born in 2002 and if it is 2019...Kyle would be a teenager in high school so why wouldn't they cast Kyle? That is what I don't get and then there's the issue of John too...is he alive? Or is he dead? I mean if he is dead then what is the purpose of even going after Sarah now? Sarah is basically obsolete...useless in this timeline especially if John is dead. Then there's no reason for Arnold's character to even exist. Unless John is alive and he is underground or John faked his own death then that would make sense. But if John is dead then if Dani Ramos is supposed to be humanity's new hope, then I wonder if Dani like Sarah will be pregnant too and Dani's child ends up becoming the new John Connor of the Terminator universe with Dani's child becoming humanity's next great military leader?

If true about the flashback, then I'm down for that. Hope they take extra care with the CGI, de-aging if not done diligently has off-putting results.

Since young Arnold and Furlong are there, it's not hard to believe Linda will be de-aged too...

But I'm super-worried about all that. CGI Arnold looked awful in both iterations, and even de-aging can easily go wrong (see Aquaman, earlier MCU)...

Agree about de-aging CGI, I don't think we've mastered it yet, let’s give it another 5 years. Although recent examples in the MCU have been very impressive (e.g. Fury in Captain Marvel & Hank Pym in Ant-Man).
