Yeah, the trailers should have kept the twist a secret!

I will never understand why they gave that reveal away in the trailers, and in the final few tv spots and trailer(s) too, so near too release, it wasn't like they wouldn't have gotten people in to see the film IF it hadn't been revealed.

After T2 the franchise went too heavy on the action and comedy, losing sight of the horror. I agree that injecting that fear back into the franchise is a necessary move.

I would say T2 is the biggest of the franchise in terms of the action, but the subsequent sequels did too much humour with the T-800 and lost the menace of the Terminator chasing Connor.

For me, the first will always be the better film, of the two Cameron films. I saw the first (first) and the effect it had on me, whilst I saw T2 as a teen in the cinema and whilst it was 'cool' and I enjoyed it, the depth, horror and the actual 'stakes' you felt with the first where 'more', I felt.

T2 is my favourite but both are superb movies, perhaps some of the terrifying impact of Arnie's Terminator was muted for me to a degree as by the time I saw The Terminator I was used to Arnie as the good guy, where as if you see it when it first came out he wasn't so readily likable in your mind as bar Conan I don't think he'd been in anything of note. Having said that the shootout sequence at the Cop Precinct shocked me when I first saw the film as a kid, I'd never seen a villain character so brutally slaughter so many good guys.

Nothing official, but Paramount have released trailers for Gemini Man (last Tues) and Sonic (today), so likelihood is next Tues for Dark Fate.

I'm very interested in Arnold's role as he's now playing a human and we finally get to know the man behind the skin template for the T-800's. T3 kinda did it but it was a joke deleted scene

There isnt anything out there that says he will be playing a human. The images we have seen so far show Arnold with damage to his face and metal endo underneath so he is most likely playing the T800 again.

If I got it right, he will be playing a T-800 who spent plenty of time in human society. The flesh aged. And he probably developed a rich personality. Or is able to mimic one. As long as he's not a comic relief and his part is important for the story, I'll be fine with an old T-800.

UK is now October 23rd. Australia and Russia are October 31st. USA still remains November 1st.

No, the way I understand it this movie is a direct sequel to T2, the other films don't exist in this timeline.
