Terminator: Genisys - Part 3

Yeah, I don't think the Asylum needs to rip off this one.
:funny: It's funny because the movie looks like cheap garbage.

Maybe I'll change my mind when I see the film on Blu Ray but I just do not think Courtney and E. Clarke fit their roles at all. E. Clarke comes off as a cute girly girl trying to act tough, there seems to be none of Linda Hamilton's reluctant determination from the first film and let's not even compare Sarah from T2.

Courtney still looks like a meathead and sorry but that's not Reese. Did the people who made this film even watch the original movies? Who is Jai Courtney bribing to get all of these plumb roles? Is Alan Taylor a useless director? I hope this is just one really lousy trailer and that the film is a gem.

See I dont even agree with that. There are so many great directors and screenwriters that could do something with the franchise. They just always get s***y people

I get that you have to give some people a chance, but still

Don't get me wrong, there are other fantastic directors and screenwriters out there. But James Cameron didn't just direct Terminator, he created the entire universe the film and characters reside in. He has a unique understanding of it and that's why the first two films worked so well.

Bale didn't exactly deliver his best in TS, but he still had a commanding presence that I can't find from J Clarke in this trailer.

So Kyle Reese ends up in a altered 1984 but how do they explain the characters looking different? I mean do we just assume that Kyle/John and Sara never looked like the original actors and Bale because of the new actors?

In 3 and Salvation they at least had the photo of Hamilton from the first movie. Wouldn't the beginning of this one be after Salvation? So how is John looking that different?

Future John looked similar enough in T1&2 and Future John from 3 was also kinda close.

I remember when Tom Hardy was rumored to be considered for John Connor, and now I'm glad his "Lawless" brother #2 got it instead. Hardy is sooo too good for this crap.

Honestly, Jason Clarke probably is too, but he doesn't look too special in the trailer either.

I'm afraid Emilia Clarke is just gonna come off like a little girl playing dress-up and trying to act tough, and NOTHING has done anything to make me feel Jai Courtney is anything other than disastrously miscast as Kyle Reese. He looks like a generic dumb meathead. Do the filmmakers know anything about Kyle Reese?

Yeah, she's not convincing as Sarah. I haven't seen her in anything else, but she doesn't look like a very good actress either. But it's just a trailer, so what do I know.

(A very, very bad trailer. Worse than anything I've seen in a trailer for a Michael Bay movie...:csad:)

Same. I honestly don't think Bale was that bad in TS, he just had bad/wasted material. Like you said, he gave Connor a commanding presence where you could buy him as a leader figure.

Wait a minute...Schlosser and I See Spidey = the same person!:awesome:

Actually, I think this is the most ISS and I have agreed, like ever.

I'm not even a Terminator fan, and I still winced at this entire trailer. Especially the terrible callback lines.

You guys are the biggest f***ing drama queens, I swear. :o

Arnold and the Terminator series need to wake up and realize he's not relevant.

I get what youre saying
But Ive seen other directors step into universe's created by other people with fine results so I would be worried about it if the guy had talent. i mean Cameron jumped into a universe created by Ridley Scott in Alien/Aliens...but then so did David Fincher (Alien 3)

However, if this movies fails then they should just stop I dont know what new direction they could go after this

I just don't get how Alan Taylor can go from a bad movie to another potentially bad movie.

I believe that is true sir. We just happen to agree on this subject.

Not only am I glad Hardy didn't sign up but thank goodness Brie Larson didn't "win" the Sarah Connor role.

Seriously...I really don't think that part when he jumps from the helicopter was planned. You know a movie is bad when a fictional character develops self-awareness and kills himself in a trailer.
