You can't kill what is already dead.

I don't really think that the franchise is dead but I like the line :)

WHAT IS DEAD CAN NEVER DIE!!! Because it's dead. So it died already. So I guess it can die, it just can't die again.

i cant imagine this being any better then Arnies T3 and that was with a decade break to hash out a great story. This feels like arnold going the harrison ford route wanting to prove hes still can do this role but its laughable now to the point where were having grey haired terminators running around. After a while you would think skynet would have scanned a different guy.

To each his own. To be honest, I wish neither one of them ever happened.

It's a little telling that the writers for T3 and TS, Michael Ferris and John Brancato, but Brancato especially, only wrote those films because they were former dorm pals of Jonathan Mostow, but had no confidence in the project ("It felt safe, expected, paint-by-numbers"), did it for the wrong reasons ("Mike was building a house and really needed the money") and didn't even think the other films in the series were all that ("For all the cool digital morphs, [T2] was a sprawling mess, bloated and self-important. On multiple levels, it was a betrayal of the original. I couldn't stand it.")

Their original script for Salvation was, believe it or not, worse than the film. They had Skynet housed in some bubble where hybrids live in the kind of neighbourhoods you see in the opening shots of Blue Velvet and T600s tend to the lawns. Just bizarre.

Wow, all of a sudden I remember this article about those writers and how it depicted them as these hacks for hire.

months before Jupiter Ascending was coming out it was obvious that it would bomb. same here. the movie can be decent but this has no chance making its budget back.

IMO

It seems odd to me that the Arnold Terminator would speak to the other Terminator. "I've been waiting for you.". There is no need for this as they are both machines.

I don't remember the two Terminators ever speaking to each other like that in T2. In fact I remember entire action sequences without a single word spoken.

I think it's due to 'Old' T-800 learning human behavior and traits.

Good thing Jupiter Ascending wasn't decent. :oldrazz:

I'm just messing with you dude you are entitled to your opinion like anyone else is.

The difference between Jupiter Ascending and Terminator is that the latter has name brand recognition and will do much better internationally based on that advantage. It might even crawl to 100 million here in the states if people are bored enough.

i didnt meant that JA was decent. i meant that part of the post for TG :woot:

That freaking bus scene! I cant stop thinking about what the hell is going on with it.

I feel like no body would do a scene like that without it being explainable to some degree yet I watch it in the preview and its just so over the top.

This movie looks like a convoluted mess, but Arnold is the Terminator franchise. If you're gonna have a mess, at least have him in it.

Rumors of a Michael Beihn cameo in T:G on the terminatorfiles.com site

Michael Biehn will probably be meta as hell.

"Wait, I wasn't this buff. And this guy said that it's stupid to try to replicate my performance? Negro please..."

Are we really supposed to care if Arnold thought the fourth film sucked?

https://gma.yahoo.com/terminator-gen...ws-movies.html

Arnold straight up slams the fourth film: "IT SUCKED."

But though he's trying to make us forget...he was involved in that one as well!

Would love to see someone mash this up with Bale's confused interview face, immediately followed by a clip of Bale's T:S on-set rant...

Arnold cheated on his beautiful wife with an ugly maid (among countless others) so what does he know about quality? :cwink:
