Terminator: Genisys - Part 4

Let's just imagine for a second that this ends up being amazing, like on the level of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. If this is a proposed trilogy and it's successful, what could possibly happen in Genisys 2 and Genisys 3?

Like, seriously, what happens after this movie?

Wow. That's a pretty bold statement.

It's not as bold as you may think. Plenty of Terminator fans feel the exact same way. Some even really hate T2 for just being Old Yeller with a cyborg. I don't hate T2 but I understand that sentiment.

I mean, I don't agree or disagree, but damn. I think T2 is one of the best movies ever made.

I really like T2. One of the greatest action movies and one of the best movie going experiences I've ever had. It blew my 7 year old brain to smithereens when I first saw it at the cinema on opening weekend. However it's just a preferential thing.

Even as a kid I just loved the grit of The Terminator so much more than the polish in T2. Over the years I realized that it's because I greatly prefer the more hard boiled sci-fi and noirish horror elements of the original to the bombastic stylings of T2.

New trailer.

The one thing I really love about the first film is that it truly has the grit of an old detective movie with the freshness of cyberpunk. It's a total marriage of Film Noir and Sci-Fi, and when I see Sarah enter the TechNoir club, that's exactly how I describe the film - TechNoir.
T2 completely ignored that style.

I think this was the problem with The Matrix sequels (though I like those too). The first film was totally Film Noir / TechNoir, and 2&3 threw all that out the window. It's like they forgot about the atmosphere of the first one.

Terminator: ExitUs -- Sarah Connor gets turned into a Terminator. Gives birth to the original Terminator from the first film.

Terminator: Revil8tions -- The original Terminator grows up to learn he's really John Connor and goes back in time to kill Reese in order to make sure he's born.

Termin8r: Dawn of Judgmynt

spoiling so much in april means the studio is desperate. i expect the worst.

2 Terminators 2 Tumultuous: After successfully stopping Judgment Day from happening, the T-800 reprograms T-1000 and the two of them become best buds who become really big in the street racing scene. The head of the local scene, Donovan Stiletto (Vin Diesel), amazed by the superior driving skills of two cyborgs, rewires his Lykan HyperSport so that it is completely controlled by artificial intelligence. This results in Skynet being reborn as a sentient computer than has the power to take over all of the world's cars. Judgement Day happens again.

Wow...they Marcus Wright'd that trailer, I presume?

Someone needs to start up a series of "Terminator Genisys"-style trailers for other movies. For example:

BATMAN BEGINS: The trailer shows a little bit of Bruce training and starting out, followed by Liam Neeson revealing himself as the real Ra's al Ghul.

THE AVENGERS: We see Coulson die, followed by Nick Fury talking about how the team needed something to bring them together. Right before the title card comes up, we see quick glimpses of Thanos and the shawarma scene.

MAN OF STEEL: Just a shot of Superman snapping Zod's neck, followed by the line, "THIS AIN'T YOUR FATHER'S SUPERMAN!"

This movie will do for Alan Taylor what Batman & Robin did for Joel Schumacher.

Please god say Michelle Maclaren is a better feature film director than Alan Taylor.

If she isn't then like the old wino on the block I grew up on used to say "We be f**ked!".

Man... that trailer sucked.

I'm a mild defender of the film, and yes, this trailer was pretty darn bad.

While I like Emilia Clarke on GoT, she looks like a miscast here. They should've had a more mature looking actress who can both play younger and older Sarah. Emilia looks like she 19 no matter the era; am I expect to believe she can play a 30 something Sarah Conner by the time we hit 1992?

You know, as bad as Salvation and T3 were, they had much, much better trailers. Especially Salvation's final one (with the NIN song).

Even the marketing department were able to make those two look great, yet they're majorly struggling with this one.

Im disgusted, i mean wtf just happened in that trailer. Looks cheap as ****, i literally shouted " **** off " when arnie was in the car with sarah and made that lame ass generic joke. As for that twist..........**** off.

Look wise, it just feels plasticy.

That T2 scene was not in the theatrical release and thus is not canon to me.
