Good luck, Emilia. :o

Despite her having teabag-t*tties, she was indeed perfect for the role. this might be T2, yes, but it's the same actor still.

new Sarah Connor is simply not Sarah Connor. That's the thing, she's just like a high-school musical actress playing her role in a....well stage play.

She looks good, both cute and fun. But that's where it ends. That's no Sarah Connor.

The original Sarah Connor was pure. Perfect role playing. She's the kinda woman you know that has your back, and would punch you in the friggin face if needed. A woman that you'd take to your parents to show how badass of a woman you've got and your parents would be content.

this high school girl would make your parents wonder how long it'll take before this one goes cutting her arms and become a emo and doing meth.

matter of fact, seems like the entire Genisys crew has been and still is doing meth and gave the producers a rufee and some meth.

i'll go straight against commen thought here regarding jai courtney though. yeah, he's not close to the skills of 'game over man' kyle reese but i feel he's not particularly unfit for the role.

either way, i'm going to see Genisys the same way i check out a trainwreck or traffic accident. just stroll by and see if i can see what happened.

I'm gonna see JWorld to go see a movie. Like avengers. like FnF7. Like i'm gonna see BvS. and now SS too.

Genisys?

Again the problem with Courtney is his look and feel. He's all wrong for Reese, he's just dead ****ing wrong.

Yes. They're turning Kyle Reese into a generic cookie cutter buff meathead action hero, which loses the whole freaking point.

In other words, Kyle Reese is not a Superhero. Why they cast Kyle Reese like he is a Superhero is bizarre. We don't need hunky Aussie number 67 to play Kyle Reese. To add insult to injury they cast a toothless little soft spoken ingenue as Sarah Connor?!! What the ever loving crap were they thinking?

At least they're matching in their inappropriateness. :o

I think you're confusing the guy who played Kyle Reese with Bill Paxton. It was Hudson/Bill Paxton that said 'game over man' in Aliens, not Hicks/Kyle Reese (though they were both in that movie).

"Teabag *******." I've never heard that one before.

I think if they made Courtney lose some weight and grow some facial hair, he would've been closer to what the original Reese was like.

lol it's a literal translation from a dutch expression for t**ties that have lost their form and went from 'melon' shaped to the shape of 'teabags'.

Omg. From T5? Really?

yup

don't you just hate this movie so much that thanks to all the horribleness in it, you can't really get disappointed anymore so it's actually somehow worth to watch it now? :woot:

You're Dutch?

I've found my match...

Oh, I know what it meant. Just never heard of the expression before and didn't see what it had to do with anything.

Too bad they couldn't keep Anton Yelchin. He was perfect as a young Reese.

What happens if this film turns out to be good and we start eating crow?:/

I'd be amazed and very pleased if this turns out good. I'd happily chow down on that crow.

But I just don't think that's going to happen...

When I first read Emilia Clarke was cast as Sarah, I didn't think too much of it. When the first trailer hit and we saw that Sarah Connor would be T2 Connor, my first thought was how terribly miscast she was. I mean they fiddle with the timeline to shake things up, and one of the things they do is have her orphaned at a young age by a Terminator and subsequently raised by a Resistance Terminator. So she's supposedly now in woman warrior mode, but Emilia does not resemble such a type at all. Alan Taylor really should have looked harder for a 1984-aged Sarah Connor that could also pull off T2 Woman Warrior Sarah Connor instead of just falling back on one of his Game of Thrones actresses. Some or most would disagree with me on this, but after seeing the heroism she displayed in San Andreas, I think Alexandra Daddario would have been a superior choice to play this version of Sarah Connor.

Second, the John Connor-is-now-a-Terminator reveal? Give me a break. Someone diehard supporter of this is trying to argue it's the only logical way to go, for Skynet to turn their greatest enemy into their greatest weapon after the numerous unsuccessful attempts to kill him. But it really emphasizes how much they've FUBAR-ed the timeline as if it wasn't enough already. How would Skynet be able to reset the timeline so that they would be able to turn John into a super Terminator? Is it now all of a sudden the technological equivalent of the Omega hive mind from Edge of Tomorrow? And/or was it created with the Mind Infinity Stone?
