Jai Courtney helped damage the Die Hard franchise, and it's happening with Terminator, too. He is terrible.

He didn't make this a bad film on his own. Taylor, the writers the producers, and the casting department all had a role in this mess.

Just watched it. Pretty surprised. It was somewhat decent. Certainly not the revolutionary masterpiece that is T1 and T2, but it's more creative than T3, and more entertaining that T4/S.

I never said that, I said that he "helped" damage it... Taylor is just as bad. Mediocre, easy-to-push-around big-budget director.

We need a single entity as a scapegoat. Courtney will suffice.

I thought Jai was fine (in all aspects) in the film. His acting was decent and he did what was asked of him.

No. The original plan was for this to be the first film in a trilogy.

I shouldn't be surprised, but it's like Jurassic World, where do you go from here? Is Skynet going to rise from the grave? More time travel? If this is successful and gets a sequel, the story will be interesting to see.

Post The Dark Knight Christian Bale couldn't get enough people interested in a new Terminator and virtually nobody blamed him for that failure and he shouldn't have been blamed for that failure. If Genesis fails at the box office like it has failed critically I think most of the blame has to be put on the property, the director, Arnold and the actual quality of the film.

I had the chance to go see this tomorrow night but I guess I'll wait a couple of weeks to see it.

Let my rage pass at another frick up of this franchise.

I haven't seen the film, but correct me if I'm wrong. I believe that this new trilogy was to put a new spin on things and show the end of the war.

Oh, and money. Everybody loves money.

Well, that's just my own dislike for Courtney talking. He just genuinely bothers me as a person.

Salvation and Terminator 3 were both more entertaining to me than Genisys. I need to watch the Cameron films to wipe my mind clean.

Well, since it is a planned new trilogy (like JW), they obviously have it set in stone.

John Connor will probably return in some shape or form, as another Terminator. Like Kyle said, "The future is not set."

Hell, maybe Sarah will become a Terminator next time. Or Kyle! Or both! Or everyone!!

The first step to getting better is acceptance. So good.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did that to Sarah, they made it seem like (to me at least) that she had been infected when John had a hold of her.

Hell maybe John Connor will become Jane Connor.

Why, when ever they make these movies, do they feel the need to shoehorn in time travel and avoid John Connor, the hero? The entire build up of the first two movies is about the hero John is destined to be. I had the obvious third and fourth film story when I was 12. The insanely obvious final shot of the series as well.

I think the closest we had to "John Connor being the savior we want to see" was Salvation... I would love to see a Connor and the Resistance versus Skynet/Cyberdyne one-on-one, with no time traveling. That would be a sweet movie.

Salvation tried to be the same movie, just in the future. John wasn't even the hero. It was the new, way more dull, Terminator.

Well, my brother went to see this movie last night, and from what he said about Genisys isn't very encouraging. I think I'll save my money for something else instead.

I remember being so disappointed about that. I didn't care about Marcus Wright, I wanted to see John Connor, leader of the resistance finally in a future war that looked Like James Cameron's future war and not a Mad max rip-off.

I have no interest in this movie but wanted to see if you guys who were hyped for this got what you were hoping for at least.

So what kind of box office predictions is this movie having? I am most likely not going to see the movie in till it is in redbox but still wonder how much it will make.

Agreed.

Looks like I'm waiting for a cheap Tuesday for this, if I see it at all. Which means two weeks minimum until I see it.

Imagine this franchise tackling multi-verses.

With Time travel you could say they're alternate or aborted timelines. It would be wicked crazy to have all the Terminator universes in jeopardy.

Imagine a timeline where Sarah Connor sends a terminator back to protect her 1984 DAD.

Or sends John Connor sends back his Mom.

Lesson for Terminator movies. Stop casting uninteresting Australian actors!

|Review|

Schwarzenegger has turned into your elderly uncle, dancing like a goofball at your wedding after a couple glasses of champagne. He knows he’s being silly, and he knows that you know, and that alone is supposed to be good for a laugh. But it’s not. It’s just sad. He has essentially become McBain.

Clearly, it’s time to say “Hasta la vista, baby,” once and for all.

Fixed, to reflect the dumb spelling of the movie's actual title.
