Oh GQ's Woman of the Year? I guess that isn't as bad as I thought. I was thinking it was a trasher mag.

You are definitely right about her people buying that cover for her. Daddario's film was actually a hit so yeah she would have made more sense.

It's not just about her movie being an actual hit. Daddario was more palpable in her role than Clarke was as Connor. And I always kinda wondered how Daddario would have fared as Connor.

Yes, Clarke's people have been busy buying up titles and magazine covers to make up for her poor turn as a movie actress. Other actors and actresses are on magazine covers and such too. You can always tell, though, by the types of magazines and titles bestowed upon someone exactly what agenda they are trying to push. Unfortunately for her, post Genisys, most of her accolades have been related to her looks and not her 'talents' which will mean nothing 5-10 yrs from now when a new 'it' girl comes onto the scene. The GQ thing was solely due to the popularity of Thrones and how much her people paid for that title.

I'm sure in real life she may be a nice enough person, but something about her seems off and fake. Oh well.

Looking forward to Baywatch: The Movie! Just kidding :)

Most people also found her Emmy nod this past year undeserving.

And how could you not look forward to Baywatch the movie? Daddario in a swimsuit, man.

Daddario.

In a swimsuit.

HAHAHAHA Jay Breezy. I'm a girl so Daddario does nothing for me. The Rock on the other hand (as a former WWF/WWE fan) does do something for me ;)

Daddario doesn't make you the least bit curious? :cwink:

I'm a straight dude and Tom Hiddleston can seduce six ways to Sunday with that intoxicating voice all he wants.

At the time they were making a lot of these Terminator 2 action figures. It was weird even though it's this dark violent R-rated movie, there was a whole line of action figures for kids.

So maybe they wanted a vehicle for those action figures with an animated show to sell more toys.

OH GOD I just remembered I had a Terminator action figure. Jesus f***** Christ I completely forgot about that. It was a part of my childhood that was completely erased!

Here is a commercial. If you thought the 1980s were weird and interesting, so were the 1990s.

Hasbro, then Kenner, made the toys. I guess it's not far off from how RoboCop spawned two animated cartoons and quite a few action figures. I think part of it is even though these are violent R-rated movies, the characters and concepts appealed to young boys.

I mean for kids at the time, RoboCop is undeniably a cool concept and he looks cool. While the film is like a violent satire, he's still a cool looking hero and design.

I had some T2 action figures too, although I was playing with them before I'd even seen the movie.

T2 was marketed heavily to kids. I remember having a T-800 figure when I was in preschool and I didn't actually see the movie until I was 14. In all fairness, by today's standards, T2 could pass for PG-13 if not for some of the T-1000's kills.

Having subjected myself to this a few weeks ago I'd say that one of its many problems - besides the miscasting of Jai Courtney and Emilia Clarke - is that it thinks it's a Marvel Cinematic Universe Avengers film, with Sarah Conner as Black Widow and Kyle Reese as Hawkeye, but has none of the magic or craftsmanship that makes an MCU film work. It tries so hard to be "fun" in that MCU vein that but never comes close to being half as good as the films its imitating, be they the MCU or the previous Terminator films it hollowly recreates scenes from or just plain recycles old points from (Arnold Terminator as surrogate father figure).

There was also a Sega Genesis game I remember getting to briefly play.

I played and beat Robocop vs Terminator on the SNES back in that time.

Short of Paramount making 10 Terminator Lane I don't care in the slightest. But I 100% guarantee when Cameron gets the rights back, he lets Fox do whatever they want.

There is no confirmation there. It's just something the media does any time someone who has no authority to confirm something is happening claims it is happening or will be happening.

Usually an actor will say their next movie is such and such though there is no director, or writer or greenlight from the studio and the media reports it as true. Where is that Beetlejuice 2 movie? Why did it take so long for a Ghostbusters sequel to happen, only for cameos from the original cast and nothing related to any past claims of a sequel?

Terminator 6 isn't happening. Cameron is unlikely to let Fox do anything with it. He's already said as much in the past. Of course he can change his mind but somehow I think the steady decline of the franchise precludes more substandard sequels unless Cameron himself is behind the movie.

Yeh Arnie is pretty well known for talking this kinda ****, he is just a very optimistic guy..although saying that he is normally and unfortunately right

I will always love Arnold but he doesn't greenlight films and him being attached to them doesn't get them greenlit either because he isn't a star anymore. We will see if a follow up to Genisys happens.

Arnold says the same about every project he's asked about.

He revealed a 2014 filming start for Genisys about 10 months before it actually happened. So if he's only throwing out vague answers like this it means nothing is in the pipeline.

Out of nowhere comment : lunch boxes for kids where made for the Watchmen movie and yes, T2 was a kid movie.
Edit: movie rating has no bearing on merchandising or spin offs, FGS, a RocoCop cartoon was made !

Seems The Telegraph made Arnold's comments sound much more substantial than they were. Here's the interview:

http://www.msn.com/en-au/lifestyle/lifestylegeneral/hes-back/vi-BBqDi2L?refvid=BBpgbBX

He merely said "I'm looking forward to it" when asked if he's going to continue with Terminator. When the interviewer appears surprised by the response, Arnold replies "yeah, absolutely".

Probably some guy who called the newspapers and used one of those Arnold soundboards. "Yeah...yeah...who is your daddy, and what does he do?".
