And I think that some fanboys think that every performance of his is high art.Exactly. Some fanboys only want to bring up the blockbusters by means of knocking his abilities...regardless of the fact that he has done other pieces of work outside of Batman and Terminator.
But of course to bring those up would go against the accusation that he is one-note so yeah...
In action films he has been too one note IMHO.
I actually think that his best performance in an action movie was Equilibrium. Sometimes he was pretty damn good in Batman Begins but it didn't come together for me. He isn't a bad actor so he wasn't out of place in The Dark Knight but I thought that he was easily the weakest link in the acting chain and not just because of that Bat-voice. And the same thing happened but too a far great degree in Terminator Salvation.
I matain that he was wrong for the role of John Connor. He and Worthington should have switched roles as a matter of fact.
I'm just plain frustated with his performance in the Batman movies and most of his action movies in general. I can't and won't change how I feel about that...no matter how unpopular my opinion is.
