Arnold owning the franchise would be a better twist than the last 2 movies have given us! I really hope it happens as he would make sure things were done properly for any more sequels.

The Blu-ray release of 'Terminator Salvation' hasn't been officially announced, but the latest bulletin of the Motion Pictures Association of America includes among the film it has rated a new version of 'Terminator Salvation', which is rated R "for some violence and brief nudity".

When the movie was about to open theatrically, there was some controversy as to what was cut from the movie to achieve a PG-13 rating. In January 2009, McG boldly proclaimed, "we don't care about the rating". But in May, in an interview with Sci-fi Wire, McG admitted that he had shot an R movie, but he cut one shot "of the Marcus character stabbing a screwdriver through the shoulder of one of these thugs" to warrant a PG-13 rating, because "that would be ridiculous to make it tough for kids to go see this movie."

There was also a topless scene of Moon Bloodgood that McG, even though he thought it was "beautiful", it was deemed gratuitous and hence dropped from the film. Obviously, not too gratuitous for home video.

So McG's a liar? Just like his supposed "Blessing" from Cameron too right?

in those times when a director says "we don't care about the rating" he is lying. they always film those big budget movies with a rating in mind.

and just like he was suppose to ignore T3 and follow only after T2. and just like he was suppose to completely rewrite the script with Nolan and Haggis, yet the rewrites werent substantial enough to warrant a writing credit

It's so weird to see how much Terminator Salvation went through finiancally after its release. Now the production company owned by those two goofs is in trouble?

Funny enough, I remember watching a video featuring the two owners and yes, they were posers. They were 40 year old men trying to wore clothes that would suit a 24 year old.

Like the way Bale supposedly wouldn't sign on until the script was good enough to perform on stage.

Did McG say that he got Cameron's blessing ? In many interviews he has said that Cameron just told him to make the best movie possible and that he has a right to hate the movie should it suck in his eyes. Doesn't exactly sound like a blessing to me.

And yeah i don't buy the "We didn't film this movie with a rating in mind " argument. Not when your making a 185 million action picture.

And youre judging the story by what, the trailer? :wow:

wow, just wow

If people always thought like this no scifi movie would be ever taken seriously. its like saying ' a movie with a robot? thats for disney or for 13 yo boys" when referring to the terminator. Its silly considering Cameron is primalry an R rated director and his story are incredibly serious and complex. I cant believe that just because there are blue creatures in the movie people say its disney. unbelievable

Wow, getting a little bent out of shape are we? I'm not really surprized though... considering your name and sig.

No, I'm not judging the story by the trailer. I'm judging the visuals, which by the way look like total crap, and by what I just saw I'm not going to pay 11.00 bucks to see this film. The visuals in this film were suppost to be something we had NEVER seen before. Well, the hype was just that... HYPE!

You missed the whole point anyway. It's not the fact that they are blue creatures, it's the fact that they are blue creatures that don't look REAL! The CGI is horrible and to make it worst there are some scenes that ALL CGI! The people, the ships, the panet, everything!

REALLY hope this is the BD version we get in the UK as well, we usually have to wait a year for DC's so here's hoping TS is the exception. They are releasing it at a prime time to make a good profit though.

Directors Cut-
Maximum Movie Mode  (Although I doubt McG will be as compelling or interesting as Zach Snyder)

Unless I read it wrong, regular DVD owners are getting ****ed up the ass again?

Seems to be the case. Now my big question I guess is why is Maximum Movie Mode on the theatrical cut, wouldn't it make MUCH more sense for the director to be doing a video commentary on his complete vision of the film?

Yes!, i cant wait to get this
hopefully the Directors cut will make up for the film i saw in theaters

Just throw up the white flag and turn to the dark side already...

i.e. go BLU. :hehe:

Probably by Thanksgiving......................................

Now that I think about it, I guess I'll have one in time for this.

Blu Ray movies are way too expensive. I have 3 total. This will probably be the 4th though. Hopefully the Director's cut is amazing. Doubtfull.

Its all about finding the right deals. I have 14 Blu-ray movies...only ONE I paid for that was over 19.99 (that would be TDK). Target for example, has some pretty good deals every few months. Amazon also, has some pretty sweet deals.

PLUS, its also about deciding which movies are what I like to call "Blu-Ray worthy"...2d animation films and/or comedies IMO aren't movies I go Blu for.
