I said "a$shole" among some dorm people, and they all looked shocked. :(

I don't even try most things I'd say...

Screw'em....

They were probably upset that the truth hurts...

Not all Canadians (me) are that politically correct.

:)

The saddest part is I wasn't calling anybody an *******. It was more in a, "some ******* could come along one day..." dorm policy context.

Maybe it's a middle (or not coast) of the country thing. Although, Minnesotans I knew had absolutely no objection to lots and lots of swearing. I love those ****ers.

That's very, very odd. Almost everyone I know swears like a sailor on a daily basis.....

Seriously.

You're clearly hanging around the wrong group.

This is Canada, unless children are around, swearing is no big deal.

It's the dorm, I don't get a choice in these people. :down

I need to finish packing for France. :) Merde!

You should start a new trend. Just swear up a storm on a daily basis. What could they do, honestly?

BTW: The second part of your sig is a bit old

It's annoying, the only thing I've been hearing for the past two days are the riots on Whyte the night after the Oilers made it to the Stanley Cup finals. Great job, geniuses who decided to set up a bonfire in the middle of the street and break a ****load of windows. Now people are talking that they should just close off the entire street for the rest of the playoffs

I third that motion. At least Buffalo deserves a hockey team...

Not that I particularly like the Sabres, but I despise Carolina.

I just don't think places like Carolina, Miami, Tampa, Dallas, Atlanta, Phoenix, etc... deserve hockey teams. If you don't naturally have ice, you shouldn't have a hockey team...

Phoenix and Miami I'll give you, but don't rag my Thrashers.

I'm not ragging them, I just don't think hockey belongs places where you see ice once every five years. The fact that most of these teams moved south from places that deserved them more (Winnipeg to Phoenix; Minnesota to Dallas; Hartford to Carolina, to a MUCH lesser extent Quebec to Denver and Denver to New Jersey way back when...) and then started winning traditions makes me sad.

Anyway back on topic I despise Carolina.

Go Buffalo.

Well the rumour is that the NHL wanted big expansion money for a expansion Minneapolis team, so the new Jets/Coyotes owners were persauded to move to Phoenix instead of The Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Moving to Dallas, while it doesn't make sense, hockey is has grown beyond expectations in the Lone Star State. This is what Bettman wanted with the 90s expansion. Unfortunately, outside Denver and Dallas, all the other expansion/relocated teams did dick all to grow the game to get the "$1 billion" TV Contract Bettman wanted. The increased number of teams water downed the talent; which made the game boring and turned Americans away from the sport. Also, having the strike back in 1994-95 hurt the game south of the border, after an amazing playoffs which had the Rangers win in seven.

The Coyotes wil return to Winnipeg this fall for an exhibition game versus the Edmonton Oilers. Our arch rival from the the 1980s. The MTS Centre might be split on who to cheer for. Wouldn't surprise me if the entire arena was pro-Oilers. Would really like to get tickets. I did find it amusing in the article where the Coyotes organization explained Winnipeg was the only choice. They wanted to go somewhere in North America that would want to see Coyotes hockey... No one in Phoenix wants to see Coyotes hockey.

Scotty Bowman said he didn't want to see a team lose the series because of the new rule. Looks like his Sabres did. With Buffalo's luck, the rule will be gone next season.

Carolina vs Edmonton!

Dammit, Dammit Dammit

Jackcool, please tell the Oilers to kill the Hurricanes.

Agent Thermal and The Thing are bandwagoners. I was the only one to pick Carolina and then I see their names pop up a few days ago. Bastards. I don't have a team who I "want" to win... I just picked Carolina because I thought that they would win.

Edmonton vs Carolina in the Finals?

Someone wake me up when it's over....

Edmonton has been putting out the best hockey of anybody during the playoffs.

It certainly won't be boring.

I guess it's the battle of the former WHA teams for the Stanley Cup this year :D ;)

Interesting stat between Edmonton and Calgary. Calgary made it to the Stanley Cup final three times: in 1986, 1989, and in 2004. Edmonton won the Stanley Cup in 1987 and 1990. Could lightning strike three times? :o

Yeah an Oilers/Hurricanes final should make for some entertaining hockey. Its because of the lame TV contract in the States that Carolina hasn't been seen. But both deserve to be playing for the Cup. I hope for a game seven that goes to 2OT. Speaking of the TV contract, the NHL is bending over for about just over 1 milion American viewers and stretching out this series way too long.

All the years the Oilers made the finals, they eliminated the Jets on the way. See how you do this year without eliminating any Canadian teams.
