Canadian arenas don't this, that's the surprising thing.

Jussi has no chance on a few of the goals but his confidence is done. So if they lose the next game with Jussi and try Ty in game four that's putting too much pressure on him. Jussi, Ty and Mike Morrison weren't the best but I don't think MacTavish has handled the goalie situation that well.

I want Edmonton to win. That said, it looks like the Canes will take it. At least all those players like Rod Brind'Amour, Mark Recchi, Glen Wesley, Ray Whitney, Mike Commodore, Bret Hedican, & Cory Stillman will finally get their cup. Those guys deserve it.

Kind of a different situation than with San Jose though. Both games, Oilers lost to the sharks were very close ones that the Oilers could've won. Yesterday's game was not even close. Oilers were playing extremely lethargic (until the last few minutes of course) and they just didn't have their minds to it.

And I think MacTavish was saying that Markannen is starting from now on. I think he made a mistake anyways in starting Jussi over Conklin yesterday....

Well Edmonton does now have the Underdog role going for them, which could be a good thing. However, I don't think last nights game was poor goaltending, it was clearly a problem with the offence. Only down by two goals after 39 minutes is decent goaltending, had the game been tied up by that point, I'm sure they would have played to keep the puck in their possesion more.

Oh, it definitely was a lack of offense that killed them. If they had scored at least a goal or two, momentum could've shifted in their favor a bit. But it seemed like the Oilers didn't want to do any of that after the fifth goal was scored....

Well, they say that you're only in trouble in the playoffs once you lose your first home game.

Carolina did what they had to do... win at home.

There are two big reasons why they lost.

1) Too many stupid penalties. It's great that they're playing aggressively because that's what hockey's all about, but things like high-sticking should never happen.

2) The players forgot the game plan and tried to do too many things. If one's job is to shadow, then shadow. Don't try and shadow and then play defense and offense.
