What kind of Action/Fight scenes could we expect?

With pretty much all superhero movies, decent action is always a highlight. With the power set seen by the Pym's, could we see something along the lines of:

As well as that, what sort of preparation could we see Paul Rudd or whoever they pick to play Jan to do?

Thoughts anyone?

I don't know. Something we really haven't seen before in terms of live-action cbm fight scenes, because Pym's powerset is different. It really lends itself to some imaginative action scenes, and Wright is as imaginative as they come. Whatever he does, it will be unique.

I guess it would all depend on what the storyline is. But if they are doing a Then and Now plot with Pym and Lang, then I would like to see cool 70s style spy thriller action.
And then in the present day I'd love to see sort of the differences from the old and new Ant Man, like the technology reacting differently to his shrinking and growing, maybe his fighting is more brutal, and I definitely want to see him grow from a tiny ant sized man to a giant man and stomp on someone.
Or maybe he is flying through the air and is ant sized and becomes giant sized to tackle someone, but changing that fast knocks him out too.

I think there are lots of stuff they could do.

That Comic-Con sizzle reel from a few years back was pretty great at showing off how Ant-Man's fighting style.

obviously keysi fighting method is a must

you know, to be grounded and realistic

That was cool. I wonder how much of that Wright will carry over into the actual movie. I'd like the shrinking to look cooler than that, but I'm sure it will with a much bigger budget.

Action choreographer/stunt Brad Allen who worked with Edgar on Scott Pilgrim and The World's End is working on Ant-Man as Action co-ordinator.

If you don't know who Brad Allen is he is a Australian martial artist, action choreographer, actor and stunt performer. Allen worked in the Hong Kong film industry as a member of the Jackie Chan stunt team.

As well as performing stunts and playing villains in most Jackie Chan movie since the 90s Allen has also been stunt co-ordinator many Hollywood films such as The Chronicles Of Riddick, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Ninja Assassin, Kick Ass and I Am Number Four.

this makes me want Jason Statham to be in the movie.

Jason Statham isn't a fan of superhero films. Someone would have to offer him a big check to get him in one or so he says.

Cool clip! :yay:

The action will be the best part of this. Edgar Wright films some really fantastic fight scenes. Scott Pilgrim and Worlds End are examples

Really? Didnt he want to play Daredevil?
Statham said this recently in a interview with digitalspy
"It's all about money, kids pay money to go and see them," the Expendables actor said. "The fascination is superheroes, it's what people want to go and see but you wouldn't get me rushing to the cinema to see those. I like the old-fashioned type of film. They've never offered me a part in one of those and I don't think the shoes would fit. Or the cape wouldn't fit!"

Stuff like this would be cool
