For those who have been following this season of Idol, you'll already know how much "Glambert" steals the show every week. But if not...




All I have to say.

he's talented for sure, but the only performance that really really wowed me was tracks of my tears

I watched one of his performances a few weeks back and I felt like I was watching an actual concert, I'm no fan-I'd prefer the eliminated Anoop to've won-but still, I can't deny that he deserves to win

I'm hoping America won't get it wrong, and the judges won't have regretted using their save-he was in the bottom this week-That JT guy was so not worth a save

Sure he was. Idol's out to make stars (and make money from those stars). Lambert's already sold himself as an artist and will have a career after this. Matt Gerard was on the cuff but needed just a little more time to shine on the show to help get a career started. He may have never had a shot at winning but he's now at a point to where if he comes out with an album, people know who he is and he might be able to do a little better than before. It was a good buisness move. Besides, the judges can't use the save when they're up to the top 5, which they are now. So the only other person they would have used it on was either Anoop or Lil, and while I liked Annop, I felt Gerard deserved to be there more.


As for Lambert, guy's amazing. My favorate performance so far has been "Mad World". I'd never heard of the song before but he made me instantly love it. I now have it in my phone by him and another guy as well and it's entered number 10 on my top 10 songs (yes, I keep an actual list).

^There's been two versions of Mad World (incase you didn't already find that out) and I have to say Adam's was better than both of them vocally IMO, epecially the originally Tears For Fears version. Just...meh...

Gary Jules' version was good though, the tone actually matched the ober-depressing lyrics. Though I still prefer Adam's voice...

Yeah, after hearing Lambert's rendition I looked the song up. I found the original one by Tears for Fears and was blown away by how much better Lambert's was. Then I read on and found the Gary guy and checked his out and loved it. I can't decide which of the two I like better, Gary or Adam's, and think they're probably dead even. I like Adam's voice better but Gary's tone matches the song better. So when I typed it out on my top 10 list I put it by both of them.

I've listened to it; it's more like the original:

I think the original up-tempo arrangement definitely fits Smokey's voice more than Adam's. Adam's stage version is much better than his studio version IMO.

For Motown week the contestants all recorded the songs with the original arrangement. So, that's the same exact backing track from Smokey's original. Back up singers and all.

Ready or not it happened and people need to get over it. This is 2009. People need to wake up and see that homosexuality is not wrong. The performance may have been over the top, but Britney Spears has been doing **** like that for years and in less clothing.

This cancellation (and the fall-out that caused it) simply underscores the fact that straight homophobic men are behind the scenes pressing all the buttons and writing all the checks. I really don't understand why people (including this young man) are shocked about this?

This is reality. You are gay in a very STR8-themed entertainment circle. What did you expect?

I don't think the cancellation is just because of his man on man kiss on stage....he acted like he was recieving oral sex too. I was watching some of the Entertainment shows the last couple of days...all the talk is about a double standard because they got upset with him kissing a guy but no one was upset when Madonna kissed Britney. The thing is...I don't remember Britney getting down and acting like she was performing oral sex on Madonna.
