The All Encompassing AQUAMAN Movie Thread - Part 4

A certain amount of reshoots for these films has become standard practice. People were talking about Ant-Man and the Wasp having some recently.

It's true that, in certain cases, they can be far more extensive and signal some type of issue with the original plan for the film, as was the case for Rogue One, Justice League, and apparently Solo more recently.

However, for Aquaman, there's really nothing to suggest that the reshoots were anything more than the standard, as far as I know.

Yes, say the word 'reshoots' and some people go straight into 'panic mode'! :funny:

Definitely no need for that. All of these films have some reshoots, at least a couple of weeks are scheduled for that now, I believe, as a general rule.

Some additional footage, especially for effects sequences. A few adjustments here or there. The ones for AM&tW were apparently for the climactic action sequence. Sometimes they don't get everything they need initially.

Many critical acclaimed films have them, LOTR comes to mind, they scheduled reshoots a year before each film came out. It's normally built into the budget.

Also, as Guts pointed out... The reshoots happened already months ago. And there were no rumors of it being over anthing substantial to worry about, like an actor not being good in a part or a massive change in plot points or story.

Another weekend of us talking about reshoots and waiting :funny:

7 months till the movie, 2 months to Con :funny:

The Aquaman Shrine has merchandise from the film.

Looks like the rumors from the test screenings about [BLACKOUT]Topo the Octopus being in the movie[/BLACKOUT] were legit.

Yes it will and I just hope they don't go overboard on the CGI because that is another thing that is vital to Aquaman's potential success

I am not sure what you mean. 2/3 of this thing are underwater. That's CGI. Even their hair underwater is CGI.

This is a damn giant octopus.
What are you even saying? :funny:

WB should have gone practical and filmed the whole thing underwater, just so the critics won't call this a CGI fest....:o

Does she has odd shark eyes too? :/

And yey that must be
her underwater thingy that gets her to Atlantis!

Is that a mechanical giant seahorse, or an armored giant seahorse?

Either way, that's kinda brilliant.

I just hope that they don't go overboard on the marketing for this film because that is what did in JL

JL was false marketing. Less than 6 months to go and still no teaser. I'm sure they'll do fine

TFW someone burns your tuna melt!

Also the Mera suit there appears to be:

this.

Aquaman footage was new and not the same footage from CinemaCon. Black Manta looks epic. Being 100% honest the Shazam teaser had me more excited than Aquaman. Pretty extended footage.
