I really like the look of the underwater scenes. Some shoddy editing there and some of the lines sounded weird. And that wig bro. So fake. Cautiously optimistic than Wan delivers.

The very positive thing I’m taking from this trailer is that the film will clearly have a clean, and not overtly complex plot, much like WW. This can only be a good thing. Avoiding the kind of convoluted mess BvS was will really help it go down well with the larger audience.

I’m concerned about the Snyder-like visuals, because of the comparisons it conjures up, but Momoa looks pretty solid, Heard looks and feels like she’s going to have an awful lot of presence, Manta looks cool, and I’m liking the underwater effects.

Solid start, with a few little concerns.

OK I know I was silent here but that's just because I was rewatching it.

Texting my mom who is in spa rn, who, to give you a context, gave me a fangirl gene - her fav actors are Douglas and Bardem. Mother of God I still remember her taking me to Eat Pray Love and whispering to me how sexy he is in EVERY SINGLE SCENE HE WAS IN.

But she only watches romantic films with them and I take it further and I watch everything with Jason...the **** I saw, man...he owes me a hug, but I diigress. She likes Hugh Grant so last November when Hugh was on Graham Norton show I translated it for her and showed her that and Jason was there promoting JL. As soon as she saw him she was like 'who is that?' and then I explained that if we lived in an awesome, just world that would be my husband and then he spoke and she said "his voice is so sexy" and that was it From now on my mom, 67 year old woman who out of CBMs only saw the first Superman movie asks me if I have any new interview with "that hot guy with long hair". So I clued her up and she is actually psyched for Aquaman which is truly the most amazing thing ever

So the text exchange:
me: mom! the trailer is here! (attaching link)
mom: OH MY GOD CAN IT BE DECEMBER YET?! Go to sleep you have so much work!
me: **** work! we both know I'll watch it a thousand times
mom: he is so pretty! is it really underwater? how did they hold their breath?

also I have 200+ twitter notifications of people asking me if I'm ok also some dude I followed Rob Keys I don't even know what publication he is on, said the CGI is crap so I told him he is an ******* and he blocked me seriously both Jason and James and my lovely queen Amber gotta owe me a hug for how much fight

ok my trailer reaction - Patrick Wilson is awesome! his line delivery and that little spin of his weapon were amazing. And he is a villain with actual great motivation. Love every frame of him there

Amber is so pretty I'm not sure I should be looking at her or at Jason loved the "welcome home' line and the look of awe on Arthur's face, amazing. And what Amber talked about, how capable Mera is definitely comes through in this trailer.

"You might wanna strap in" and Atlantis reveal is a classic trailer play and Good lord is it stunning. AMD I LOVE how they featured Jason's wonderful comedy skills here with that line delivery of 'worst pep talk ever!". And that shot of Amber in Italy....good lord why aren't I into women?! It would be so much easier

I'll comment on the trailer when I give it another watch but of the 4 SDCC trailers I saw today it's by far my favourite.

Amazing trailer. The CGI looks off at some point but overall it got me waiting in excitement.

Jason Momoa is gonna be great.

I'll comment on the trailer when I give it another watch but of the 4 SDCC trailers I saw today it's by far my favourite.

I can’t decide whether I liked this or Godzilla more. I think ‘zilla might just edge it, just because I can’t wait to see Ghidorah, Mothra and Rodan, but I did like a fair bit of what I saw in the Aquaman trailer too. Shazam looks like a movie for the kiddies (which is fine, I’m just not one of them) and couldn’t give a rat’s ass about Grindlewobble, or whatever it’s called.

Looks about on par with the CG in Wonder Woman to me. Which wasn't the best, but still visually appealing io me. I need to watch it again but Iiked the trailer

If I don't like it, I immediately have to "stop" and receive laughs.

But that's normal. It's been like that ever since BvS was going to be the "best CBM eva and you are wrong for saying otherwise!" from back in 2013

The first trailer is solid. No complaints.

I did like Shazam! a bit more though, but that's because the plot seems more interesting to me.

Definitely looking forward in seeing the 2nd Aquaman trailer.

Yep I really like the fact that Wan isn't holding back on the comicbookiness of the character if that makes any sense. Wan embracing that aspect should be very interesting to watch.

I will say this to be fair. Creating something underwater like this must be incredibly challenging to do. But, I don’t think this film has overcome that challenge. Its style has the same problem that plagued the Snyder movie in that it looks artificial, and that’s been a huge turn off for some people.

This is an issue for cbm's that haven't been rectified in general outside of a select few.
