The only notable actor whose caught my eye lately as able to do a really good Joker. . . would sadly require a never-gonna-happen gender swap: Evan Rachel Wood. Seriously, watch Westworld. She can do charismatic and persuasive, she can do terrifying, she can do a schizophrenic array of roles with any or no emotion. She'd be excellent as the Joker.

We've gone the dramatic actor route plenty of times. Let's get a comedic personality in there to throw the audience for a loop.

The irony of that is I'm certain said comedic actor would be tapping into their dramatic side much more than the comedic.

Jesus, Hader as Joker is actually really out-of-left-field inspired. Would have never thought of that in a million years.

He has the look down facially, big time. Tall & wirey, can obviously handle the wacky comedic stuff, has a kind of strange voice that you can see how he'd manipulate into something really "Joker". And honestly there's something a little unsettling about the guy, even outside of Barry, he just comes off as...a nice guy with an oddness about him, a dark side somehow.

Doubt he'd be on WB's radar for it ever, ever-ever, but that's a really smart suggestion.

Eh, I liked him a lot as Cable. My only disappointment there was that he wasn't in the movie as much as I'd hoped and they didn't really explore his past much. But I'm all for more Brolin as Cable.
