The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Blu-Ray/DVD Countdown Thread

Lol. That scene had finished cgi in trailers and featurettes.
But for some strange reasons, SONY put that deleted scene on dvd/bluray with unfinished cgi.:o
Hahaha, I noticed that in the deleted scenes too. I was like, "Wait a sec.... I know they finished this, I saw it in the trailers." Oh well. :oldrazz:

So apparently Best Buy has the normal blu ray/ DVD/ ultraviolet combo pack for 19.99 the cheapest I seen it so far. The Best Buy and Target exclusive versions are both 24.99. So if you don't care about the store exclusives you can save a few bucks and get the standard combo pack from Best Buy for the cheaper price point.

Personally, I haven't decided on what version I am buying just yet but I will know come Tuesday morning lol.

If your not interested in the standard(non 3d) "magno case" which is also 19.99, you can always price match at Target for 19.99, to get the bonus DVD.

Oh wow. Didn't know they were offering a magno case for standard blu-ray/dvd for $20. That's a steal.

I personally don't like the Electro head they made.

Does anybody have information on the combo pack with the Spider-Man and Electro figures? I saw it in the beginning of a video by SevenWebHeads on YouTube.

Haven't seen it anywhere so I thought I would ask everyone here.

Yeah the electro head is silly but it lighting up is pretty cool but I am not going to pay like an extra $55 for it. I don't think I have heard of that thing with spider man and electro. I wish the DVD came with an asm2 spider man suite lol

I think it's a bit on the creepy side, wouldn't pay anything for it personally.

However, I would pay good money for that costume :yay: In my opinion, it's the best Spidey suit I've seen on screen.

Check out this video at the 0:17 mark.

Just finished the DVD with commentary. It had the writers (I think) plus Avi Arad dropped in for the first half hour or so.If you can't wait or just don't care about commentaries in general and want to hear the bullet points:

For whatever reason, they asked Arad what he thought of the Iron Man film and the first time he worked with Stan (He promised him Spidey would make it to the big screen in his lifetime) Arad also said they changed the Spidey suit from the first ASM to a more classic version by popular demand.

They pointed out the "disappearing lettuce" in the 'laundry sheriff' scene.

They said the colors of Max's birthday cake was a tribute to the classic colors of his Electro costume.

They said Dane improvised the jeopardy theme and Webb had them pay for the rights to keep it in the film.

They said after Spidey webs Gwen's hand to the car and she yells "Peter!" it was a blooper they left in and Emma covered her mouth in actual embarrassment.

They felt the Goblin transformation scene as originally shot, was too intense for kids, saying it gave kids in the test audience nightmares.

They struggled with giving Peter a reason to go back to being Spidey and created the scene in which his dad comes back at the graveyard to encourage him.Eventually, they said the prevailing feeling toward Richard would be anger for leaving Peter and they had May provide Peter with the emotional nudge.

Even in a simple set photo, that suit looks amazing. Those colors. Beautiful.

There isn't really a superhero out there that has so much emotional and relatable influence such as Spider- Man. The scenes in this movie with the kid really did get me misty eyed beacause I saw myself in that kid. During my high school years, I was verbally bullied a lot and was considered a freak.I was a outcast and was also made to sit alone at lunch etc. So I read a lot of comic books during that time and Spider Man was a major one. He just gives hope to people and kids, teens, and even adults like myself. But things did eventually get better for me during my last year or so of high school btw lol. But spidey comics was one of the things that helped me during those hard high school years.

Got mine in the mail from Amazon today already.

Sometimes the Prime service really pays off.

Anyone else hope spiderman has an emotion scene with a suicide jumper about his story about losing his wife from gambling and her family blaming it on him?

Well I figured it would be a nice and relatable scene between spidey and the guy and just fit with how peter went through including using the phrase"greater than what we suffer".

So for people that have the blu ray are there any delete scenes with MJ? I know they shot scenes with her but it as cut.

I'm glad you got through that, man. Nobody deserves to be an outcast but it's great to see that the comics can even help people in that sense.

Spidey certainly has an emotional appeal that other superheroes don't have. I definitely don't think I would have been able to relate to him as well as I do if it weren't for the fact that he's been, for the most part, a teenager/young adult, and has to balance his superpowers with every struggles that you and I do.

Nope. Marc Webb said they were gonna hold on to those scenes.

Maybe they're planning on using a scene or two in TASM3?

In general though, I don't think it's good to show deleted scenes of a character that didn't even exist in the film.
