What are you guys talking about? Venom looked great in the movie (exactly like the concept art posted above).

The look of Venom was one of the few things they got right in SM3.

I agree. With the exception he could have been a little larger in scale.

Rudimentary Costume concepts (FAN ART, not that this is good enough to trick anyone) based on comments by Marc Webb. Spider-Man has his new eyes and his “gnarly” web shooters, as well as the belt, giving the more classic feel.

Electro is Jamie Foxx- I muted the green that would normally be in the costume because it would be way too bright. The color scheme of the costume itself is still ridiculous and unbelievable, but I assume thats the type of character that this Max Dillon would be. I combined the collar aspect of Ultimate Electro with the costumes of 616 Electro. I thought that the Ultimate Electro head idea was good, but would be a bit easier/more cost effective to just have the lightning scars on his face to glow along with his eyes, not just his whole face. Everything else is just aesthetics. I also thought that because of the backstory of him thinking he’s Spider-Man’s sidekick that he would also incorporate some Spidey-esque costume elements such as the belt, and the black on the sides and legs similar to the way the blue is laid out on Spidey’s costume.

Awesome !! just a lil looks like the actual new Spidey suit !!

I think I would like the new suit a whole lot more if it looked more like the ASM suit and less like the Raimi suit.

Brought back the "basketball."

Brought back the dark-blue frames.

Brought back some reflectivity in the eyes.

Made the wrap around the deltoid more like ASM1.

Made the spider darker and slightly blue (blue spider is more of an experiment, a bit iffy about that manipulation myself).

Made the spider seem more part of the suit than on top of it. Also made the legs more prominent (more experimenting).

Adjusted the colors overall to make them more like ASM1. Made the webs a little darker.

That looks more like a basketball than the ASM suit ever did...that would've been taking a step backwards imo.

Texture changes ALONE, that's all I wanted.

Not the bland looking thing we have... but something like your manip. (Nice work btw!)

But eh, plain red cloth is cool too. :\

Totally agree, I loved Venom's look in SM3, aside from any time we see Eric Foreman's face revealed (which was all too often).

That looks great. How sweet would it have been to have something like this? Even changing the Raimi brick pattern is a huge improvement. If the webs were engraved as opposed to raised it would be a logical follow up to the TASM costume.

Venom looked perfect. He shouldn't be the size of the Hulk. He should be around the size of or slightly bigger than Spider-Man, which he was. They had the distorted eyes, the spider logo on the front and back, the sharp teeth, the tongue. They "ruined" his look and he wasn't stupidly big like a gorilla man yeah sure ok.

And just to throw in my 2 cents, I thought Venom looked fantastic in SM3 and the added tattered webbing design was genious. It's just that the movie was terrible and he was played by a terrible actor.
