^^ Is it the news about Molina wanting to play Ock again?

No I haven't heard about that? Its just a article about how spider man has went form like the top to the bottom and how they could get back to being on track. But it doesn't say much really just about how sony has to make movies in a certain time to keep the rights and how sony needs to not interfear with the movies.

I'd love to read that. A pity your link doesn't work.

Hm.. Okay.

Here's the link for Molina.

Some haters should learn with him ;)

What's to learn? It's not like he compliments the TASM movies or anything. He just says he'd love to play Ock again because he had so much fun last time.

He wouldn't play such character on a rotten franchise like some people make it to be.

Chill.

Why not? John Malkovich did a Transformers movie, and they're way more critically panned than TASM 2 was. Michael Caine did Jaws: The Revenge, the fourth Jaws movie. Jack Nicholson did an ADAM SANDLER movie lol. Just look at the cast who were in Joel Schumacher's Batman and Robin movie. Great actors can do bad movies sometimes;

Even if Molina thought they were great, why should that mean anyone else should learn from him? James Franco and Willem Dafoe didn't like TASM, that doesn't mean everyone else should dislike it because they do. Personally though I doubt Molina has even seen the TASM movies. I've never seen him comment on them like Franco and Dafoe have.

But Batman was considered that horrible before Forever came out?

Transformers may be hated by fans,I don't hate it but I do enjoy it besides the second one,honestly... I hardly met any people besides here that hates the franchise deeply and it still makes loads of money.

I wouldn't be surprised if James and Dafoe influenced some people lol.

Anyway, can we talk about this on the GA? Or is too much off topic?

Well Batman Returns got a backlash for being too dark and scary for kids, that's why they went campy in Forever, but Forever was critically panned, but it made money, that's why it got a sequel and had high profile actors like Arnie and Uma Thurman sign on.

It's still a critically panned franchise, even worse than the TASM movies. But it makes money. Sometimes great actors sign on to high profile franchises regardless of their quality.

Only naive impressionable teens would follow that kind of sheep mentality of liking or disliking something just because a famous person does.

You're the one who posted the Molina link in here in the first place lol. Just following your lead, Andrew :cwink:

It was. And I'll put my 2 cents in on it. I would love to see Molina play Ock again. But not in this franchise, and certainly not in a Sinister Six spin off. With the exception of Judi Dench as M, I don't think actors from previous franchises should be hired to play the same characters again in a reboot.

Oh well that's a tricky topic for me and I don't really know how to feel about it.

It looks like a good choice but on the other side I think it will somehow prejudice the franchise by recasting some of the past trilogy actors, that's why it's called a reboot.

I'm on the fence.

It would also confuse audiences. Some of them are bound to think it's in the same continuity as the previous franchise.

Darn...you are manipulating me Joker! Now I don't wish any old recast :wow:

You are right though.

Molina would quit the first day he got on set and doesn't see Raimi in the directors chair.

Yeah unless we want the wrath of the Moderators down here lets not turn it into one of those you know what discussions that are forbidden.

Yep.

We can't talk about you guys know what.

Let's just agree that TASM2 was awesome.

What's the problem?

In this strictly a fan thread with no criticizing allowed?

Oh no criticizing is fine. You can do that all you like. It's Raimi vs Webb type of discussions that are forbidden.
