Homecoming The Amazing Spider-Man 3 General Discussion - Part 10

I don't understand hostility towards other people for liking something they don't. I would greatly prefer Marvel to make their Spider-Man movies than see the ASM series continue, but I also remember that there are people that love the franchise and are crushed to see it end. So, remember to have some empathy, people.
I hope this wasn't aimed towards me, because I have nothing against any TASM fans, me and Daltonio were just having a friendly discussion, we both respect each other's opinion.

It wasn't aimed at anyone in particular. Just a friendly reminder to keep things civil.

Are you guys implying that Garfield should stay? because that's not gonna happen.

Only if he has no relation to Sony's universe and isn't under the company's control.

If the MCU were to take Andrew somehow, I would just hope they would do it only to ride out the character and not confuse the GA - but I would definitely want a new Spidey for phase 4.

Well I can really appreciate this post, thanks for that. I'm certainly not ruling anything out, I mean... I was one of those fans of the Raimi trilogy who didn't like the idea of a reboot and you see how that turned out for me and how much I ended up loving it.

It's just gonna be hard to try not to be bitter about it though as I don't think I've ever been more invested in a movie series as I've become with TASM thus far. I guess we'll all just have to wait and see see what happens though, everything's still up in the air.

Don't mention it.

I was on the same boat then. It was so hard for me to grasp the idea that SM3 was the last film of the OT, and we would be seeing a new Spidey already. Then I remember seeing Andrew in The Social Network and thought, "Okay, this guy has the acting chops for sure." After TASM1, I was onboard and believed we might have a fresh new direction and something worth exploring. It was really after repeat viewings of TASM2 where I genuinely gave up on this series and saw nothing but Sony's meddling written all over it.

Anyways, try not to stress too much since we haven't been given definitive answers. Just enjoy the roller coaster and make sure you stick around the boards. We've already lost some faithful members to the calamity.

Somebody has to take the fall for the disastrous year Sony has had (not just TASM2), and Pascal seems the obvious suspect. I'd be stunned if her contract gets renewed.

There are currently two very different Sherlocks on two very different shows; I think the general audience can handle a new Peter Parker.

So da7e tweeted earlier that he was "finalizing" things today, not sure if that pertains to the scoop

Skeptical on whether he actually has something or not, but if he does it shouldn't be too long now

Has nothing to do with Spider-Man. He was talking about his actual job.

I wish they would stop teasing and just post the scoop if they have something. It honestly gets annoying but I guess that's also part of the fun.

Oh, cool.

I can't make heads or tails of any of his spiderman tweets, he's just tweeting really really vague stuff. Not sure if he's actually on to anything

Edit: Missed his follow up tweet, it isn't not comic book related things he's finalizing. It's teen mom related, apparently (I don't get the joke :oldrazz:)

It was fun at first, but they're dragging it out so long I'm starting to doubt them

They could at least answer tweets asking if they have a scoop. A simple "no" would suffice. But that's a bit much to ask for.

They have replied saying they do though... Specifically mentioning spidey

He actually has answered a few tweets. Someone said he doesn't actually have a scoop and he teased them. He says he's withholding to make sure he doesn't put his foot in his mouth.

So idk, he sure is tweeting about it a lot.

When will he post it?

Good to know. Just wish he would get with it already. Is he afraid that he is going to write an article and it will turn out to be false?
