She does look like MJ...

but she seems kinda clumsy... nothing ladylike about her
and her voice is quite annoying too

Yeah.. I don't see how someone being "Clumsy" will translate into their acting

Don't see what you mean about being her being "unladylike" either.

Her voice is just fine.

Oh and Kaya Scodelario is too young for MJ.. :o

How about no love interest at all? Haven't we had enough with 5 movies? Please have mercy on muh soul Sony.

Well Batman & Robin didn't have a major focus on the love interest and it turned out great!

More like that Sony!

You either have a love interest or you have a female lead in these films, sadly spider-man doesn't have a lot of non-love interest female leads

Never know maybe MJ won't be in TASM3 and they will go the black cat route, esp if they do the female spin off before TASM3

Serious note, hope Black Cat never shows up. To me, she's nothing but a Catwoman rip off. Black Cat will never have anything serious with Spidey unlike Spidey has with MJ & Gwen. The reason Catwoman is just so much better is because how perfect she is for Bruce. Every time Spidey reveals herself to Cat, she leaves him.

Black Cat is the same as Catwoman minus the interesting relationship with the hero.

I can't imagine a Spider-Man movie without romance. It would definitely feel like something's missing.

Indeed. A spiderman movie has to have romance. I mean he's an Everyman and he had romance for two trilogies for a reason though I don't want him hooking up with MJ quite yet. I'd save it for the end and the kiss should come for the 4th film. After Gwen's death Peter has to rethink his decision about whether he should be with MJ or not. Heck, have one scene of Peter almost about to kiss MJ in the third movie and he sees Gwen's face. Cliche I know but its one of those cliches that work and i kinda expect that part to come

It doesn't have to have romance. 90% of superhero movies have a romance sub-plot, it's become a freaking staple of the genre.

If Cap 2, GOTG and DOFP can make a movie without a major romance, so can Spidey. It's not terribly important for Spidey to be kissing somebody.

The Avengers had no romantic sub plot either. But what works for other superhero movies doesn't work every superhero movie. Spider-Man is the type of character who's alter ego, Peter Parker, works best when he has a romantic love interest because of the drama it adds to his life. It's a staple of the character. There's rarely an era in the Spider-Man comics where there isn't a love interest.

Spider-Man doesn't need to have a romance to be great.

Take a look of the aftermath of Gwen's death in the comics,Peter didn't dated anyone and his adventures were still great.

Sorry but saying that he needs to kiss someone in every single movie is pure ********.

That's because he was mourning the death of a love interest. And it was shortly after Gwen's death that he and MJ started to get together.

He doesn't have to kiss someone in every movie. But he should have a girl he's romantically interested in for every movie.

And that's the situation that we will likely see. Having a potential love interest is one thing which is acceptable, dating someone is another. After such tragedy, I don't see Peter getting interest to involve romantically with someone any time soon.

He doesn't need to be interested. Why it can't be the other way around? MJ or whoever that is gets interested on Peter while he doesn't. The director even said that the next movie will focus on Peter's recovery and if he can love again. So dating MJ on the sequel is clearly unlikely when we actually don't need to see another romance again for a while. Save it for ASM4 if it happens.

Two of those are team ups. Cap 2 didn't have one, but he and Spidey are pretty different characters. His personal life is supposed to be more interesting than Cap's.

I feel that if you skimped on the romance on a Spidey film, it would feel transitory. As if the stakes had been lowered. These movies come around with several years apart (4 until the next one in this case, no?), so "saving stuff for later" definitely seems to me like abusing the audience's patience.

You mean a romance that nobody is actually expecting any time soon? It don't need to be rushed straight to ASM3. In fact,Peter dating someone in the sequel wouldn't look naturally, even some not hardcore fans that I know don't want to see that.

Amazing Spider Man 3 should be Peter still dealing with the aftermath of Gwen's death and is not currently dating. Somewhere in the middle or near the end of the movie Aunt May should introduce him to MJ just like in the comics. Better yet, the movie should END with MJ at his door step saying the famous line " Face it tiger you just hit the jackpot!" .
