Oh so they wanted to change at least 1 or 2 of the male villains into female villains like scorpion? certainly seems like sony just wanted the sinister 6 to be the avengers.

although if it was Drew Goddards idea to have spider-man team up with the sinister 6 then maybe he certainly wasn't the right person for the job either, but at same time you can see sony has no idea what they are doing.

and Emma stone has carnage i would be fine with to a degree as it would be sorta interesting to go that route even if it did annoy fans that she was brought back.

and Marc cut Shailene Woodley because he felt it took away from peter and gwen but amy pascal seems to believe it was a mistake to have cut her which shows the goal for adding mary jane was all wrong.

Amy pascal and Avi Arad have no idea what they are doing but wanna keep a job clearly.

The ship has sailed and hindsight is 20/20 but a reboot similar to the Spectacular Spider-Man series would have probably been the best thing for the series. Set up all of the characters in the first film and expand and change them in the sequels. Oh well, what could have been.

Sinister Six would have been worse than I thought! Sony was literally trying to ripoff Marvel's The Avengers! Emma as Carnage ala Black Widow, Spidey uniting with Sinister Six against a common threat, Spidey ditching the Blacksuit because... the SS makes fun of it?

I'm soooo glad Sony's terrible plans for Sinister Six were exposed, they'd be out of their minds to push foward with this disaster!

I wouldn't mind seeing Sony going along with their story, let it move further, with writing more appealing to the masses, and better handling of villains.

Venom a girl? Spider-man throwing away the black suit in a trash can because the S6 is making fun of him and then that person who finds the suit becomes Venom. Sandman is comic relief. I'm so happy that Sony's time with Spider-Man is finally coming to an end. Maybe. If the deal doesn't go through with Marvel, I am not supporting any more Sony made Spidey films. I refuse to pay for their garbage.

That stuff about Emma as Carnage is the funniest thing I read this year. Not, the second funniest. The first one is that Faraci's Superman line "I won't break your neck" and then superman threatens to break the dude's back. Epicness.

Yup. They would all be reporting to Iger and Alan Horn at that point. Any projects that are high on the radar in terms of budget and awareness would be put on hold if there was any uncertainty or lack of confidence. At least that would be the most logical thing to assume.

For disney to buy sony they would need a lot more reason then just spider-man, what else do They own that Disney would like and could cash in on?

In general to buy Sony would cost way more then buying spider-man alone

What happens if they make a deal with Sony and Sony ends up going belly-up in a year or two? I'd imagine they'd put that in the contact somewhere that they'd retain the rights in full?
