Something of note is how climate affects domestic numbers. Originally ASM was going to be facing a strong looking JO film only 3 days into it's run. It instead now faces a summer that has imo been very luckstar. This same climate is very much responsible for Ted/M-Mikes impressive showings.

ASM's numbers will surprise some people(even though they shouldn't). The audience is really hungry right now and all they've got to talk about is snow white, prometheus, a vampire hunger and avengers I guess...

I'm surprised that ASM is so successful over at India, but I'm happy for its record-breaking opening over in that country. Glad to see Asia still loves the ol Webhead even with a new cast and a new beginning.

The turnout for the midnight was...okay. No where near a sell out, and it was one of the smaller crowds I have seen at a midnight show in a while. That's not to say it won't be big though, as it seemed like there was a lot of walk-up business for a midnight, and I would imagine that would continue this week. I just hope it makes enough for the sequel.

I have no doubts it will make ridiculous bank, I'm just saying I don't think it has to set the the world Box Office on fire to be considered a successful reboot.
