I love the Lizard featurette but am I the only one who finds his voice to be a little bit silly?
IMO he should sound more raspy and creepy, and also struggeling to get the words out.

I don't think Connors is supposed to be "controlling" the Lizard. If he could do that, he wouldn't do the things he does as the Lizard (pre-Lizard, he does seem to be a good person with genuine intentions to help the world). I think the formula that Connors takes creates another side/personality (like Jekyll and Hyde)... that's my take on it at least.
See, to me, it doesn't seem like that at all. The Lizard has Rhys' voice, and from his mannerisms and attitude, it seems to me that the Lizard is not a separate entity/personality, but rather a mutated man who has had his mind and ideals twisted by the formula. Connors goal is to help people, and that notion seems to get twisted when he becomes the lizard...he wants to "heal" and "cure" them the same way he's "cured" himself. I feel like if it were a separate personality they would have used a voice that felt a bit more separate from Rhys'. However, I could be wrong, but what I've seen points to that...unless of course Lizard refers to "Connors" in the film.
As for his voice, I like the deeper take on Rhys' voice and I don't even mind the accent. Also glad there's no hissing noises when he talks.
Good points, I think it'll be either what I said, or the fact that Connors's mind is twisted by the formula.
