did someone say that the basketball clip is cheesy? Because I don't find any cheesiness from that scene
Well he's probably in that "honeymoon phase" with his powers - not even considering the consequences of them, not even trying to keep them a secret really. I doubt he knows he'll become a costumed vigilante who has an identity to protect yet. Right now, he just wants to be that kid in school who can jump really high and do really cool stuff that everyone else can marvel at. It adds to that lesson he needs to learn about responsibility. It was the first scene of the movie that actually impressed me in terms of dialogue between characters, but the jump in the end was not necessary, imo. Why would you show off your superpowers like this in front of so many people? This is something Raimi also did when he had Peter web the food tray at school and, same scene, when Parker displayed super reflexes once MJ slipped.

I thought that basketball clip was fine until he dunked. I know he should be able to do that since he can jump like 50 feet high, but it looked so fake.
I don't mind that at all, and especially since it's a slightly more realistic take I hope it has reprecussions, either here or in a sequel if it happens.
What?! Ok, that is just downright ridiculous man! People Can choose to find that clip cheasy if they feel the need to (which i don't Think it is by the way) But to Call it FAKE looking!!? This needs to stop right now! Put on a pair Of glasses dude, seriously. It does'nt look the least bit fake! You are choosing to dismiss this as being fake, when this might very well be a Real dude doing it, Lol.
I think it depends on how they play it. Spider-man is daring, super strong and heroic, attributes that are a far cry from who Peter Parker is. In the clip where Flash punches Peter, I don't know where about it's placed in the movie but if it's after the basketball scene and if Peter allows himself to get his ass kicked then it's safe to assume that any suspicion of him being spider-man would have flown out the window.
I wonder if this is the same scene :''The bully is rubbing the face of a skinny boy in his food, when he sees Peter and says "take a picture of this, Parker!". Peter refuses and asks Flash that let his coleague go - just to become the target of a violent fight.''
Wait, how is the dunk nearly as bad as webbing the tray? No one will automatically think he is spider-man because he dunked.
