Problem is, even if they got past the rights problem with making a contract or something, Peter lives in New York and The Avengers happened in New York, so it would be pretty silly if Peter wasn't aware of those events

One way they could do that is if The Amazing Spider-man happened before The Avengers. Maybe. I don't know... It would just be extremely cool if Spidey would fight along side with The Avengers!

That was a GREAT trailer. I'm obviously still caught up in the Avengers hype and haven't been following TASM as closely, but this movie looks like it's going to be everything I've wanted from a Spidey movie. I'm not a big fan of the Raimi movies, so I've been cautiously optimistic about this one. It looks like I may not be disappointed after all. t:

Well, I saw The Avengers two times (and going for a third today), and told myself it was the greatest thing ever even though TASM is the movie I've been most expecting since it's been announced. Then, this trailer comes out, and it's like it's gonna blow it away, it scares me sometimes how shallow this is, and I'm probably not the only one feeling like this. It's like TDKR that I'm expecting, huge fan of the movie, but I had left it on the backburner a bit, then the trailer comes out the other day, and I'm suddenly super hyped, and now TASM took its place ^^

This trailer rocked my socks off. I have a couple of gripes with it but mainly enjoyed it a lot more. The Lizard looks a lot better with the lab coat. I wish they kept it for the final fight...

My main gripe is the whole "Do you really think what happened to you was an accident?" angle. I hope that's just taunting, if there's a bigger conspiracy by Norman Osborn to have Peter become Spider-man I'll be a bit sad...

Also, is that ****ing Norman Osborn talking to Connors in a cell?!

How on Earth is Webb & Co gonna top this action wise?

I mean, you can already tell that Lizard is just perfect for these kinds of epic brawls because he can climb walls and roofs like Spidey, he's huge, he has the tail and claws and is a wild beast!

I am of course confident that Green Goblin would beat him both actionwise and storywise, but who else would you like to see in a sequel that could give us as mindblowing action as this one seems to have?
