Anyways, I've been watching a lot of them at the moment. I just watched a few on Scorpion and Mysterio and it occurred to me, I really wanna see these guys on the silver screen. Mysterio would be a lot of fun with his illusions but I think Scorpion would be the most enticing villain.

However, I don't think Scorpion would work well in Webb's trilogy. Mainly because his back story hasn't been fleshed out. I feel Webb would need to establish the whole J Jonah Jameson wondering how Peter gets all the great shots of Spider-Man before bringing in Scorpion.

I know the general audience knows JJ but in the films universe, that's something that needs to be established. Which kind of makes me upset at the potential of Spider-Man 3. Why the hell didn't Raimi just use Scorpion? I mean, it was the perfect set up. JJ was used in both 1 and 2. Scorpion already has a personal tie to Spider-Man through Jameson. Raimi didn't have to try and work hard to tie Sandman to Peter and ruin the whole car jacking story they previously established.

Ugh...I will never understand why. Anyways, I'm wondering if people would be turned off by Scorpion though do to his resemblance to the Lizard. What do you guys think?
Raimi's love for Sandman always left me  not becuase he was a bad villian but there were so many much more fitting villians that could have been used I don't get why that one was so important to him.

So when I'm bored I like to sometimes go on youtube and search random Spider-Man videos. I stumbled upon this guys channel Dcompose. He likes to do 101 classes on various Spider-Man villains. They are always fun to watch because he crams a lot of information about the various foes into a ten minute segment.

Well, they could introduce JJJ in the sequel and then use Scorpion in the third. Also, Scorpion can be made to look different enough from Lizard. He could not be nine feet tall for starters and he doesn't have to be green considering scorpions come in many different colors.

All that being said, I'd rather see Mysterio. Have Green Goblin in the sequel and Mysterio in the third.

#AmazingSpiderman at @KapowCon looks like it could be the worst movie of the year - James Vanderbilt's script, possibly written in crayon

So I'm reading IGN's "reaction" to the footage and I'm using quotes because it's a very small article, but based on what the author wrote, and it didn't seem as if they wanted to spoil too much, it seems to be the same footage that they showed at the February event but finished and in 3D. It's a positive reaction though for anyone interested in reading it but I wouldn't expect to hear about any new scenes being shown.

Amazing Spider-man looks amazing

And of course one negative review...

Why should it be dumb just because it's a negative review? They may not actually like the footage. It's not a crime.

I thought it would be, but when i bought it up i got shot down that it would be the same footage :funny:

it's good its getting so much response from twitter and the like. hopefully the trend continues, by this rate alot of people who are currently sat on the bench or hating on this movie will warm up to it :word:

Yea on another forum irrelevant to any of this someone posted the 4 minute preview and there was some good comments there. Although it was pointed out that TDKR is the most anticipated movie but defence came in the form of 'yea but TDKR doesn't have Emma Stone in it'.

Why should it be dumb just because it's a negative review? They may not actually like the footage. It's not a crime.

I don't know. You'd probably be calling blasphemous if someone said something negative about TDKR footage. :o

Oh, how wrong you are.

I've heard people already call out TDKR footage "dumb", but do I call it dumb? No, I don't. People will always hate, it's just natural that not everyone will love something, although when people are just calling the footage amazing and then someone calls it dumb, you can only brush it off because no reasoning is given for both reactions, so meh. But I wouldn't call it just dumb.

I continue to love every comic adaptation as long as they're good.

Unless it's too good and there are people that seem to just hate a really good thing, such as The Dark Knight or The Avengers.

People hate TDK for no good reason, same for The Avengers, or TASM.

What I meant was, I don't care who's in it, who writes it, who sells it, who directs it, if it's a good comic book adaptation I will love it. I don't have a side.

Word. And even with that said, everyone has their own opinions and even if 9 out of 10 people feel something is perfect, that 10th person may not and they'll have their own opinions as to why they don't. I have a friend who loves batman, to the point where it's probably unhealthy lol but he has some issues with The Dark Knight and likes it but definitely doesn't feel it's perfect or even better than Batman Begins. I may disagree with him on a few points but I see where he's coming from on some of his issues and respect his opinion

The Dark Knight is pretty dang near perfect for a CBM, but not a movie overall. I would actually agree with your friend though with that it's not better than Batman Begins. TDK may be a near perfect CBM, but Batman Begins did something that no other Batman movie did....explore Bruce Wayne. That is probably the only reason BB is superior to TDK on some levels.

Although, I can see why people would hate on The Amazing Spider-Man. As opposed to what GENERAL RAAM582 said, it's different to hate on something that has been out like TDK and Avengers, but TAS-M isn't out yet, so people will obviously complain to the elements they do not like until they finally see it. Then, of course people could still hate just to hate, but the smart fans that didn't like certain things may grow to like when they watch the film finally. My example would be X-Men: First Class when people didn't like the sound of certain ideas of even the mutants themselves until the movie actually came out and now little people hate the ideas of that film and now hope for a sequel.

But that was an animated movie.

If we're bringing in any form of entertainment, then The Spectacular Spider-Man would be the best form of entertainment featuring Spidey.
