This is gonna be fantastic, mark my words, I think just the 3D alone could make you say that the movie is great, this + Lizard + great naturalistic feel between characters, great actors, fantastic 3D, we are in for a treat!

I have yet to see First Class. It's a prequel to X-Men 1 right? Or is it a reboot to the series?

I'd call it a reboot, and while it can be looked as a prequel, it just ruins any continuity that was given in X-Men 3 or X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

I would also say it's my favorite X-Men film, even with considering Singer's films and in my mind it starts a brand new continuity that will also have the new Wolverine film in it(which I hope is phenomenal).

Oh. I hope I didn't offend you.

No not at all :yay:

It's funny how much I can relate with Peter, with almost every version except ultimate peter (from the show, haven't read much ultimate comics)

I'm too a "trickster" or a "jokester" if you will. When I was like 12 I was the class clown, but after that I learned to contain that a little so it works more to my advanage. I also look like many incarnations of Peter, imagine Andrew mixed with TSSM Peter

And yes, I never was very popular in high school, a little on the outcast side. Not anymore though, and it's probably hard to imagine when you don't know many details in my life, but the events in my life remind me about some parts of Peter's character arcs in the many incarnations

Heh, lets just say, I don;t think it'll looks like this:

iUoAbh9ujqdezw49eZuNnMs7o1_400.gif

It doesn't. Saw it in February. It's not corny at all or extra. It flows with the scene

Man, I wasn't planning on seeing this film in 3D, due to thinking that there wouldn't be enough scenes to warrant seeing it in that format. But, after reading about Spidey swinging in 3D, and how it much it enhances it, it seems like enough reason to pay the extra money just for those scenes.

Peter Parker is the everyman after all. I try to connect my self to Peter too, except there there are a ton of differences between him and I. Like having no troubles or responsibilities what so ever.
Do you find this new Peter to be as relatable as other versions. I think it's stupid when people say he is supposed to be a nerd when in my school, it was the skaters being the outcasts and "nerds" of our generation.

Just saw a TV Spot while watching The Simpsons. Sony isn't gonna screw this up are they?

No, it was basically the same as the 4 minute preview trailer, just without the whole "Tune in for the 4 minute preview" part.

I'd agree with those who labeled it a "preboot." Half prequel, half reboot. It definitely likes to pretend that X3 and XO:W didn't exist.

And it's also my favorite X-Men flick to date. Well worth checking out.

Saw Avengers in I-Max last night and they played the 3D Spidey trailer, man oh man, just wow! It looks freaking great! And it wasn't even the newest trailer it was the one before! But the 3d is just wow!

I knew it messed up X-Men 3: TLS, cause Magneto and Xavier wouldn't be together after the accident. Origins is getting a sequel. And Deadpool might get a movie too.

Actually, it's been stated that the new Wolverine movie is ignoring Origins. I've read the script for Deadpool & it's DEFINITELY ignoring Origins, they even make fun of it in the script.

The more I think about Spidey in 3D they more I think the medium was made for this character.

So X-Men 3 and Origins don't "exist" anymore?

Well X:FC balantaly ignored both X3 and Origins. So I'd expect Fox is going that route.

And Spider-Vader: is Deadpool still in production? I was wondering if that was going to happen.

They say it is, but it's starting to look like it might be in production hell. :csad:

I think it had a 10 minute test screening for Fox Execs and they really liked it. This is Deadpool, btw.

So question about the ASM preview before MIB3: Is it in any kind of select theaters?

I've seen the scene with the skipping, and i 100% vouch for it. It really makes you smile, and you get really happy for Peter because of how jubilant he is himself

I agree with this. It's done in a very endearing way and if I can remember, he's got his hands in his pockets as he skips away. Plus, the usage of Coldplay's Til Kingdom Come and the expression on Andrew's face (imagine something similar to the opening scene of Boy A) after he's realized that he just scored a date with Gwen really makes it a sweet scene with a indie rom-com vibe.

I had meant to take a pic of it on my phone, but I saw this really awesome 3D standee poster at the movies today. The pic they used was this one.

Anyone else seen it yet?

Wait, skipping away? Like literally skipping?
The rest of the description sounds great though

Well this is the very same scene that debuted at San Diego comic con and in every other single footage for ASM and has been praised for really giving a hint of the chemistry between Andrew and Emma in the film. As much as I can remember, no one has even mentioned anything critical regarding the "skipping". If anything, I felt the skipping really added an innocence to the character, despite him just recently gaining powers and going on an ego trip.

Yup. Saw it a theater near my house last week. Thought about stealing it for a split second
