Don't care about it at this point. Batman has a freaking jigsaw puzzle going on in his legs and I can look past that, so I'm sure I can look past this.
Freaking this.

And quite honestly the shoes have grown on me. Especially since they've been lit well it all kind of fits.

That costume has it's flaws as well...but I am not a huge Batman comic fan so I don't care as much. The Bat costume at least has functionality in his costume because it makes sense for his character (bullet and knife proof armor instead of grey fabric covering his abs). Spider-Man doesn't have to go to Foot Locker and buy a pair of red and blue Asics to make his costume because it helps him not hurt his feet when he is running and jumping. That isn't his character. If that is, he should also get some bullet proof inlays in his costume as those nasty bad guys like to try to shoot and stab him. Spider-Man's suit functionality has never really been an issue. He would have cut out slits for his fingers and toes because that is how he sticks to walls. It's just a flashy superhero costume and that is perfectly fine. It's never really been an issue until now...because now people want to see him buying Asics to make a costume so that the film is grounded and realistic. I will never forgive this awful costume just like I will never forgive SM3 for making Harry look like a Snow Boarder. I won't let it ruin the movie but as a stand alone costume...it's awful and whomever designed it is awful.

Still looks better than the previous costumes, even with the random sneakers.

I'm not the biggest fan of the new suit, but a crummy set pic versus a professionally shot image is hardly a fair or adequate comparison.

On a wholly different note, I watched the Avengers in Imax 3D this evening. They played the Spidey trailer, and I gotta say, I was severely disappointed in the quality of the 3D. All the movement was extremely blurry and often times almost strobe-like and the overall depth of field wasn't much to write home about either. Has anyone else come across this? I'm hoping its just because it was in Imax...

Yeah, I had the same impression (extremely blurry..Wrath of the Titans 3D trailer was better) when I saw it at wondercon. Definitely put me off from wanting to see it in 3D. I don't know why IMAX would have anything to do with it. if anything that's when I expect it to look best. When I saw it, it was just on those small dual screens that you usually get at conventions.

It's pretty disappointing - considering it was actually shot in 3D and everyone and their mother celebrating the quality of the 3d trailer....Did you see it in imax, or a regular 3d theater?

It was at a convention type set up. So two small screens toward the panel and a larger screen in the middle of the room, but I have the same problems with it as you do, definitely considering when all the other 3D trailers looked better. Still, I've also seen the other 3 trailers in theaters, the last 2 were actually underwhelming and quite darkly lit.

I saw the 2nd trailer in IMAX 3D and it was nothing special.

BUT, I saw the 3rd trailer in 3D (it wasn't in imax though) and it freaking blew my mind.

You clearly do not understand what the suit is meant to be if you're calling it a jigsaw puzzle.

Can you please enlighten me as to what the suit is supposed to be?

It's supposed to be protecting the more important areas of the body much like how a knight's armor protects the more important areas of the body. The main goal for the TDK suit was to mimic the look of a knight.

lol I love when I see defensive posts like this.

make fun of Spidey's suit? thats ok

say anything wrong about Nolans Batman? OH NO U DIDNT

I could use similar kind of justifications for the Spidey suit like how its meant to be more like a teenager built it, but I didnt. Because in the end, no matter the REASON for the changes in the suit, the fact of the matter is there are things that people nitpick about. Same goes with the Batman suit

Stop giving justifications or explanations. Batman Arkham Asylum/ Arkham City had THE best Batman suit which also works in a realistic world. There are things about this Batman suit that are not so good. Does that mean that the movie is any worse because of it? Hell no.

Get over it.

EDIT: Also, I'd like to add this just to comment on Batman's armor looking like a knight

Sorry, but I don't see a jigsaw puzzle all over the god damn leg here. Even if theres a reason for why they did it, it doesn't change the fact that it was a bad choice. And again, I shall repeat myself, this doesn't decrease the quality of the movie for me, but I'm proving a point.

TDK/TDKR suit has its justifications.....shoes on the Spidey suit does not as you can still have a homemade suit WITHOUT having to show you're wearing ****ing shoes.

I'm only speaking the truth; so get over it.

God, how I wish Batman's costume only looked stupid from the ankles down.

Did I ever justify the use of those shoes? NOT ONCE. Stop acting like a dumbass and actually look at what I'm saying. I also CLEARLY stated that justifications don't make certain decisions the RIGHT ones. They only justify them.

All I said was that if I can look past things I don't like about the Batman suit, then I can look past the things I don't like about the Spidey suit.

Where in all hell did I ever defend the shoes?

Theres NOTHING for me to get over.

Are you look for an exact knight look? Like I say, it's protecting certain areas on the body and has that grey mesh underneath the plates as a knight where's the mesh underneath his armor.

Plus, you're comparison of a jigsaw puzzle is kinda foolish when it's not that at all. Take a look at his suit. It's not all over the place; just some spacing between the plates.

In regards to the jigsaw comment, you CAN have a suit that is bullet proof without have the so called "jigsaw" pattern. I don't see the justification in that and how that particular spacing in the suit adds anything towards function or protection. Anyways, my point is for everyone to please stop nitpicking. We're almost a month away from the movie's release and some of you guys are still going at it? What for?

Ugh it doesn't matter, this isnt the place to be discussing Batman. The Raimi fans just stop please the two movies were good for their and time and I have them but now accept a new Spidey or not. Funny how this started with one person who had something stuck up their butt and looking for someone to give them attention.

Cool story bro. But you're saying I shouldn't make any justifications with the TDK suit when there are justifications to the suit. Just stating that it's silly for you to say I shouldn't simply because one can't make any for the shoes on Spidey's suit.

But there is something for you get over.....telling me not to do something when I can and I will
