Plus, you're comparison of a jigsaw puzzle is kinda foolish when it's not that at all.

Learn to read in context. The only reason I said it looked like a jigsaw puzzle was because chaseter said Spidey's shoes looked like silver ballerina slippers. Its humorous/exaggerated nitpicking. Everyone does it :/

Ugh it doesn't matter, this isnt the place to be discussing Batman. The Raimi just stop please the two movies were good for their and time and I have them but now accept a new Spidey or not. Funny how this started with one person wo had something stuck up their butt and looking for someone to give them attention.

It's funny how that person is still here nitpicking, probably all the way put until the movie comes out and then after, he'll have more to nitpick about.

One can make justification for anything. You can either choose to believe it or not. There are no rights and wrongs here.

Cool story bro = **** you, I don't care what you say, i'm right and you're wrong.

Cool story bro. But you're saying I shouldn't make any justifications with the TDK suit when there are justifications to the suit. Just stating that it's silly for you to say I shouldn't simply because one can't make any for the shoes on Spidey's suit.

But there is something for you get over.....telling me not to do something when I can and I will

Yeah, you clearly know what I meant. But go on and try to mince the words anyway.

I said that just because some decisions are justified don't mean that they were the right ones to make. The new Spidey suit is totally justified in context, but people still complain. Why? Because even if it is, there are some decisions, like the shoes, that weren't right.

Also, still nothing for me to get over. When did I ever tell you what to do? You make no sense there. Stop trying to be an instigator and put words in my mouth.

I signed on here because I saw reasonable and down to earth people just having a conversation about the movies in which was awesome to me and why I signed on and now I find nit pickers and attention seekers and others with issues and some just looking to get on someones nerve, that isn't cool at least not to me.

Welcome to the internet. If you stay long enough, it might corrupt you too.

welcome to the hype

Asics don't make calf high boots. The reference to ballerina slippers began a year ago when everyone on here thought/hoped that the silver shoes were slip on's for stunts. Everyone thought it looked ugly and was a horribly lazy design choice (because they look exactly like a pair of actual Asics)...hence the excuse that they were for stunts.
Oh sorry for the misunderstanding. I wasnt around here back then and I didn't know or care about this movie either. Anyway, the shoes don't really look like ballerina slippers to me at least. The look more like some spider-man themed boots I saw a kid wearing at the mall one day, except the movie one has a worse webbing design. I am not saying the shoes look good or are a good decision, but I can look past it because the suit as a whole looks good in motion and in trailers.
Also about the functionality, i think he has shoes because it might his feat when he jumps or runs without the shoes. Also, shoes are affordable. He doesn't wear a bullet proof vest because he can dodge bullets and knives and he can't afford one. I don't think it breaks the character that much. It's not like shoes made the suit a lot more expensive or anything and I never really thought of Spider-man as the guy who doesn't need shoes in his costume. I would do without the shoes if I had a choice, but I also will not complain about them.
My internet crashed when I was almost done typing and I had to type the whole thing over again. I was so incredibly pissed lol.

Theres always something to nitpick about. Thats unavoidable. We all do it for something or the other. But people need can get over it and accept the fact (like a mature person) that no matter how much you like something, someone will nitpick it.

Thanks and all but one thing not letting it corrupt me lol I like this place because its not like the others who have people cutting on this movie but here its really not in which I like talking about spidey and having a good time with it , this is the best place for it and def the place i continue to come to. I want to talk about this movie without someone trying to cut it down or so

Yes. There's always something to nitpick about. I just don't understand why some people always have to do it. I wonder if they also live their life nitpicking about everything around them.

Yeah, in my experience Hype is generally the best place to come by and chat about Spider-man and get up to date on news, which is probably why I stick around, but sometimes...

For me, whenever I watch movies, I dgaf about little things no one notices, I just enjoy the movies and focus on the positives which is impossible for some people on here it seems

Im not a picky person at all. When I see something like Spidey i'm on board, and I really firsr got on board when I found out who the actor was it was my first time seeing him and I couldnt help but think how much resemblance he has to Peter Parker and I was sold from then on and have been on board ever since. Also this is going my first Spidey seeing on the big screen and in 3D. I never saw Spider-Man when it first came out so i'm very happy about this movie and excited to me this is my movie of the year, I hadn't seen any others except this one.

Thats kinda what I've been saying too. I notice things I might not like, but dgaf since they don't affect the quality of the movie to me. But apparently some people can't even handle the fact that I disliked something at all in the first place, even though it doesn't affect the fun I have with the movie

new Hardee's commercial. notice the Daily Bugle newspapers have the same style as the raimi films rather than what we've seen in set pics for the new film. interesting

I re-watched Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 1 from 2002. The movie is a DECADE old and still holds up very well and has the fun movie experience we got in Avengers. Just a great popcorn flick, but Spider-Man has a lot more emotion than a typical blockbuster. Thats why it can't be categorized next to Transformers. Its a summer blockbuster, but a lot more emotion and character develop which is why Spider-Man is so successful.

So the one thing that stands out when comparing Sam Raimi Spider-Man 1 to the reboot. The character Peter Parker. That is the most important part, imo - is the character of Spider-man. Yeah, the look of the costume, the villain, the plot, all that is important, but not as important as the actual character.

Peter Parker is suppose to be a nerd. And Sam Raimi got the character CORRECT. Peter in the film was very shy and couldn't even speak to girl. When MJ said the comment about his eyes in the cafeteria , Peter couldn't even come up with any response, just smiled - which meant he was terrible with girls. The character of Peter Parker is famous because us nerds can relate to that character. He's one of us! He becomes a superhero. A guy just like you and I. Thats whats so great about the character. Raimi understood that. He made Peter shy , a bit of a loner because thats what nerds are in high school, kind of lonely except for a few friends (Harry). It was perfect.

Now fast foward to the reboot. Here is Peter Parker - with a SMOKING HOT GIRLFRIEND ! Emma Stone ! WTF ? I understand Peter had a gf in the comics, but things they've changed about the character for the big screen was the right changes. Things from the comic book sometimes cant transcend to the big screen. And the Gwen character needed to be added later in the film when Peter gets his confidence. The audience can't relate to this Peter at all. He is witty , charming...That is NOT Peter Parker. "Oh no, small knifes, my biggest weakness...BAMMM". Peter can do that LATER after he gains confidence. Come on, this is not a nerdy Peter Parker. You are killing the character why we love Spider-Man. Raimi's got it right about the character ! He was not witty, charming, sarcastic, and had the hottest woman in NYC (Emma Stone). Please! Guys, seriously, this reboot is a major mistake, a last minute attempt to make money to keep the franchise from Disney. You can't tell the audience "This guy is a nerd and you can relate to......but here is his smoking hot beautiful girlfriend he got in high school!". Not buying it, Sony. Just simply not buying it...

And we get to the web shooter. I understand in the cartoon & original comic , he was scientist and made the web shooters, but that worked for that material, doesnt transcend well to the big screen , imo. Raimi made the correct move by making it organic. It worked well. Didn't take a lot of scenes / dialogue to explain how it works like they have to do in the reboot to teach the audience that this one is different.

And finally the suit just looks awful in the reboot. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the suit in the first three. They want to change the suit to make sure it doesnt confuse the casual audience that this is a reboot and not a sequel to the awful SPider-man 3, but their design just isn't very good looking.

How are they going to tell the audience that this character we can relate to bc he's a nerd when he's with Emma Stone, the hottest woman in the US. Seriously?!? It's a terrible idea.Avengers NAILED the characters - and thank god the studio is being rewarded with billion dollars because they deserve it. They got the characters right and put them in a fun plot. I just have absolutely no faith in Spider-Man reboot at all. Raimi's first two Spider-Man were near perfect. If it aint broke, dont fix it. Spider-Man 3 was terrible, but look how great the character of Peter was in the first two. Raimi understood the character and got it right.

They honestly should have just did a Spider-Man 4 minus Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire. No one wants to sit through another origin story. We want a new adventure / villain for Peter. Smart by going with Lizard. I like that villain, but to reboot the origin, no thanks.

I wonder if the way that Spidey launches off to swing in the commercial is the same in the movie.

Okay? Did you just want to get all of that off your chest or were you looking for some kind of discussion or argument? I don't understand the people that do this. Shame on me, I didn't read your whole post but I remember from last time. But why do you feel the need to come onto a message board where the majority of people that post there are excited for the movie and go on a rant about how you're not excited for it and that the Raimi films were better? Wouldn't this be better off in the Raimi section of the boards?

EDIT: Wow, you had to hit imdb as well with that exact same post?
