Hugh Laurie for JJJ?

So guys just came back from the future and guess what...I fell out of my seat watching this film :P

The music took me by surprise. In a good way. Im glad they're grounding it more than Raimis cuz it deserves it, but im really happy theyre not just copying Zimmer, etc. The playfulness of the score is awesome and it's what it should be for Spidey.

LOVE the chase scene. Peter with that accent IM TRYIN TO SWING HERE!!! lol fantastic.

Still dont like The Lizard, im sorry. Didn't really like that scene. But ill just accept its because i dont like the character that much (even though i think it's fitting for this origin story). But god im happy theyre getting Spider-Man right at least, because that means the sequels are going to be MUCH better. If they start bringing in Goblin, Venom, Carnage, Electro with THIS Spiderman...its gonna be somethin else.

I know ive dissed the last couple of trailers ive seen because of the Lizard or some stuff they were doing with spidey, but it IS the first movie. And after seeing 1 scene by itself finally, straight out of the movie, score and everything? Ya its much better than the stupid clips theyve been throwing together.

I don't know why I haven't thought of that before. It's perfect. I guess I was too busy wanting him for Perry White. Ever since he almost got the job in Returns.

even though spider-man 3 was bad, to me the score was amazing.. the sandman "birth" sequence was amazing..

Am I the only one who didn't like Young's score on Spider-man 3? That was one of the issues I had with the flick. I guess so

Anybody reminded of Iron Man/Iron Man 2 by that clip of Gwen and Spidey talking?

Gwen helping out reminds me of Pepper helping Tony at the end of Iron Man and the bit where Spidey's all "Gwen, GWEN!" makes me think he's going to fly in Oscorp at any moment and pick Gwen up (like Tony at the end of Iron Man 2)... :funny:

I didn't think there was anythind remarkable about SM3's music, a step down from 1 & 2 for me.

I think the blinking red is starting to annoy me now on Spidey's webshooters, but...I can't keep myself from watching that clip. The first time I really wanted to watch a clip of TAS-M over and over, haha.

Hot damn did I love the police chase clip. I remember seeing set pictures and videos of all of those shots being filmed, and seeing them all put together like this is pretty rewarding. The practical stunts look so good, the truck flip, the crawling on the truck (he was on velcro on the side of the truck that was edited out) the swing off of the truck, the swinging under the overpass. So crazy seeing it all final and so good looking! Spidey quipping nonstop, Andrew pulls it off well and it's a joy to see as a fan. And James Horner's score worked in that scene very well. That's all I got to say about that. :yay:

That scene will probably be way longer in the final movie, can't wait to see that awesomeness :P

We also thought, for the longest, that he was running on the street because he ran out of webbing and that's been showed as false now. Wonder if Spidey ever runs out of webbing.

I hope it is longer, and I really hope we get to see a lot more practical swinging. It looks frickin awesome!

I never took a guess one way or the other but that's why it's always great to see the final product. I really need to stop watching this clip though

Thats obvious, the poison itself is green in colour(We see the Lizard releasing it on the cops) so the blue thing has to be the antidote
Yeah, but I was talking about the fact that they already showed it in the trailer. I don't think that was really necessary, but then again, nobody forced me to watch it. lol

And about the new clip, no way I'm watching it... from now on I'm just going to wait for the damn movie.

No, you're definitely not, my friend.
I only liked the Birth of Sandman music, and that final piece as Harry dies... But the rest! Jeez... What was up with that black symbiote theme!? It sounded so ****ing corny and lame. Like something out of a 70's western flick! REALLY bad!

Yeah, I understand he wanted to do what Elfman did and put his own spin on it but geez..it just didn't work for me. It sounded sloppy and clunky and just lacked some soul

what i wanna know is where does the webbing go when he swings to the next one? looks like it just dissapears..

It just "disappeared" in Raimi's films as well. It's such a tiny thing, I doubt an answer will ever be really given.

I noticed though in Raimi's films that the web swinging was generally composed in a way that when ever Spider-man shot another web, his hands or his body would be too close to the frame to even notice that the webs disappeared.
