Well either way we know we will have POV shots! My only worry is that it will become overused and old by the second or third film (if they decide to continue using it).

Oh ****. Imagine seeing the death of Gwen through the eyes of Spidey?

About the POV scene in the very first trailer, if they'll really use that as a ending scene I hope they worked on it. It looked kinda videogame-y. lol

Damn that be....WOW.

So on a side note, ive been called to look like Andrew Garfield. The hair, the body type and all, good thing I guess :D

Oh and you can tell the POV is much better in trailer 3 than Trailer 1 for sure.

Can't believe it's been a year after seeing the first teaser trailer, can't wait for this month to be over (for other reasons as well...)

From what I understand it was unfinished CGI. Marc Webb said that he was working day and night just to give us SOMETHING, so I guess that explains it.

The only part of that scene that feels like bad CGI is when you finally see Spider-Man's arm appear and shooting a web in order to swing. Then you see his reflection on the building window, which looks like a video game.

I don't know if that would work. That scene is so iconic in the comics... Spider-Man is too high up to really get a good view. Remember, he doesn't know she dies until he pulls her back up to the bridge. The audience needs to see her neck snap!

Heres the thing: The CGI we see in the 3rd trailer (Swiging, fights etc) look really good visually and in 3D amazing. CGI is well done I must say, imagine how the pratical will look :awesome:

So the CGI in those scene is the same as the POV, good CGI they have IMO.

My typing is very bad I know its hard with such tiny terrible Iphone Keyboards...

Oh, I hope he did a good job with it. Videogame-y feeling aside, it was a pretty good shot so it can only get better!:spidey:

Like, in his eyes, you see him pulling her up. The viewers would have only heard a crack, then you see it once he pulls her up. It would work cause I'm not sure if the MPAA would allow them actually showing the snap.

In case you don't remember, the Green Goblin gets impailed by his own glider, with blood gushing out of his mouth. A neck snap is nothing compared to that, and it seems like movies are only getting more violent anyway without R ratings.

I thought it would be cool to discover what happened in his eyes.

Well I think we could get a shot of Gwen falling from 3rd person point of view, and as Spider-Man is pulling her up, it could be 1st person perspective.

I'd like TDOGS to be at the start of the first Goblin film. I wouldn't like to end a film of this nature with such a young woman being killed. It's a bummer, but comics don't have to wait for two/three years to move on from it. Plus, this turns Goblin into Spidey's greatest villain instantly. Then you've got as much time as you need to back it up.

What I'm not sure is if the crack needs to be there. It's supposed to be a controversial death so to clear cut it in that way would take away from the whole uncertainty of Peter's guilt which would be an amazing angle to explore cinematically...

If the audience isn't there with him (in the "we don't know what really happened" territory) and actually KNOWS it was his mistake 100%, you lose some instant relation as to what he's going through.

I don't know. lol Connors is a good guy in this right?
Well Connors is a good guy, he just turns into the Lizard. However, he probably has some skeletons in his closet (as we see him talking to the guy that is potentially Norman Osborn).

Yeah, I just wanted to make sure. I know in TAS he was good, just was wondering if they are making him good in this one.

I was comparing this to BB, and BB has two villains. This one just has Lizard, then I realized; can't you count Captain Stacy as a villain?

Hmm... I don't know if you can count Captain Stacy as a villain. He is definitely a foe for Spider-Man in this movie, but its quite different.

I know in the comics he was a supporter of Spider-Man, so its possible that before he dies in this movie (I am assuming he does indeed die), he realizes Spider-Man is a good guy, and changes his views.

I imagine Gwen's death sequence to be in slow-mo, the camera following the web through the air, without almost sound (as the spidey-sense of the Raimi's films), reaching Gwen's leg, and when the fall stops (we only hear the "crack" of the neck), a very soft Gwen's "mpfhh" (I don't know how to write that in words lol), while the camera continues and some drops of blood from Gwen's mouth fall into the lens.

I would cry if I see that.

I dunno, I'd call Stacy a villain IMO. I know he isn't in the comics, but if in the movie he's issuing arrest warrants, getting 500 cops on him, calling him a criminal on the news, that's a villain.

Yeah I suppose you can call him a villain. It is interesting after seeing his character from Spider-Man 3 completely change. Same with Gwen.
