I have a bigger question. In the second international trailer, you hear a voice say:

"All your life you have been searching for what happened to your parents. But in order to find the answers, you must look within."

"Why is MJ blonde?" has been a joke for some time, so I don't think they're saying that to sound moronic. It's been a joke for a while since so many people thought Emma was going to be Mary Jane.

Well there's also the group of people that have never heard of Gwen Stacy and are only familiar with MJ. I know from showing the trailers to several people that are not educated on Spidey lore asked the same question.

Well, it's true...haha, Jeph Loeb had to even delete his Facebook because of all the negative feedback he was getting.

Okay, something was brought to my attention and I'm pretty ecstatic right now:

Who the hell is the gray haired/light hair guy talking with Connor at a scene that looks like a prison? Who is the guy asking "Did you tell the boy about his father?"? Is that our first glimpse of Norman Osborn? Look closely, that guy ISN'T Dr. Ratha neither anyone we've seen so far. Who would have access to Curt Connors in prison and know who Peter's father is? Is that really Norman? Who actor has that voice? WHO THE HELL IS THAT GUY?

At 2:40. And how the hell I haven't seen anyone talking about this so far? :wow:

Yah, it's rumored to be Michael Masse for a while now. His identity of "David Lowell" could be a trick.

Fans are saying that the actor is "Michael Massee" but he is listed as David Lowell on imdb. Massee was one of the Goblins I believe.

I think that he is really playing Norman Osborn though.

What?

I don't see a question in this post. What's your question?

Norman Osborn is the only logical answer. This is insane. I don't really know what to think right now. Is this guy a good actor?

He was on The Crow and on Supernatural, plus a dozen more. I'd say he's a pretty good actor.

David Lowell actually is a character from the comics, lol. An Oscorp scientist/obscure villain Sundown.

I noticed that an actress named Kelsey Chow is playing a character named Sally Avril, a girl who rejects Peter Parker after asking her out on a date. Later on, she ends up working with Electro, and gains an obsession with Spider-Man, and even blackmails him. Her character was used in an episode of "Spider-Man: The New Animated Series." Could this be a foreshadowing of another villain?

She was also in the Spectacular Spider-man cartoon.

Not sure about that...But I do know he's had a pretty horrific past.

What do you mean about horrific past?

Okay, I can sort of see him being Norman.

And if is indeed Sundown, weird choice. Unless if he's not addressing that part of the character and he's serving as Norman Osborn's spokesperson.

I don't think those are the same characters. In the comics Sally Avril only appeared in Amazing Fantasy#15 and never again besides Kurt Busiek's awesome Untold Tales of Spider-Man which fleshed her out more. She was very interested in Spider-Man's heroics and with another kid they started following him around, she donned the name Bluebird trying to be a superhero as well but they got in a car crash trying to get to Spidey's battle with the Black Knight and she died.

If they use him for Sundown, I feel like that would be a waste. He would fit Norman perfectly, but I think he will end up playing Osborn.

Why choose Lowell over the classic Goblin?

My question is... who is saying that?

My theory is that it is Michael Papajohnn (who played Uncle Ben's killer in SM1). He is returning as a character named Alfie, which we know nothing about. It does sound like him. Listen for yourself:

I highly doubt they'd give someone from the previous trilogy a major, even minor role. If anything, he has a small cameo.

This. Sony is trying to separate this movie from the previous trilogy so using someone, anyone from the first set of movies would only confuse things and make the separation more difficult.

lol just imagine he plays Uncle Ben's killer AGAIN? I know that wouldn't happen, but I just had that thought in my head...

I am sure the car thief we see in the trailers is the killer

Speaking of Papajohn, anyone else thinks this is funny?
