Because, as other posters have said, it's a complete joke. MTV creates some kind of version of Lifetime Achievement for an actor or actress that is young. It just makes MTV even MORE of a joke that it already is.

Bale choking up over Heath Ledger killed me when I was watching it. And even though I was watching, I had to start clapping once the man himself, Nolan, walked on stage. You can tell how proud he is of his Batman trilogy.
