I can understand that.
That IMDb guy is full of crap! He missed some things that were shown in the trailers, which means he hasnt seen the film! I'm sure this film will be epic!
I'd like to see them try.
We're men, we have opinions, just because it's not the same as yours doesn't make it less valid. More so perhaps...that's what I'm doing here, to answer your inane question.
I'll reiterate; Spider-Man 2 was an excellent movie, the best comic genre movie I've seen, and I'm not a Spider-Man comic book fan (I like X-Men, Swamp Thing, Batman, Fables, and Sandman amongst others). I have a hard time believing that this movie will be better than it or it's predecessor, in fact I know they won't top it by regurgitating an origin story done just 10 years before, and I think that the remake/reboot thing is a complete waste of time made by people who have no concept of story telling, they just understand that;
a.) Spider-Man has big name recognition
b.) Origin stories for comic book heroes do well and are easy to write and create because they all follow a very basic pattern
c.) Twilight has done very well in the teen market, despite being totally vapid, so the same can be done for Spider-Man if it makes some compromises. Namely; continuity, story depth, originality, and a true bildungsroman.
d.) All of which means money...big money.
So yeah, support it if you must but understand that this movie is a cookie-cutter film, stamped out of an assembly line like a pizza pocket in a manufacturing plant. It isn't a good story, it isn't art, and it isn't unique, it's just recycled fluff, watered down fluff. Beh, you can have it, enjoy your mush, who knows it might be decent despite it's obvious failings.
Ah that sounds intriguing, but on the other hand the dude who posted it obviously has no concept of Time, since he has seen a movie before the actual release.I have a hard time believing that this movie will be better than it or it's predecessor, in fact I know they won't top it by regurgitating an origin story done just 10 years before, and I think that the remake/reboot thing is a complete waste of time made by people who have no concept of story telling, they just understand that;

Wow, so did this guy really just compare ASM to Twilight?
I don't know what to say. I mean, he could be telling the truth, but really?
Can it really be that bad and that they've duped all of us?
But this guy said he wasn't a Spider-man fan to begin with....
^ where are they? Are the positive? Negative?
