The facial aspects are what I like. The hood and skin texture could definitely use some work obviously.

Plus nowadays we'd probably get a mo caped/CGI version of that anyway.

Also, a really great, purple, robe is necessary.

You would think all that stuff would be Raimi's area of expertise... He could have done some really great atmospheric work with Green Goblin.

There are just too many great villains that a lack of Green Goblin would be fine. Lizard has some competition from the Avengers and Dark Knight this year that maybe some may argue having Green Goblin in this film would help the beat them, but after that Spider-Man would fine with new villains.

I don't want them to follow Dark Knight or Superman in recycling the same villains. It would be great to see completely New villians from here on.

Absolutely. And with a good actor and a makeup approach they can take full advantage of the ability to have expressions and emoting whilst wearing the mask. I want them to have that ultimate creepy, evil and twisted feel. The GG needs to be scary IMO.

I've been saying that Thunderbolts GG (the one in the pic that keeps getting quoted) is the way to go for a while. It's creepy looking & I think it'd be perfect for the big screen!

Green Goblin is to Spider-Man as the Joker is to Batman.

In every reinvention they should at least be used once. Should damn near be a requirement.

The problem with that test is it seemed way too cartoony and light. Not that scary. I liked the final one in the film better.

HOWEVER, with that said - if you make that more menacing, scarier, not as light - it'd be perfect.

I think it's the green - just reminds me of Jim Carrey's The Mask or Goosebumps.
