Lizard. Action. Quips. Let's go, Sony.

I didn't think I could be this excited for a Spider-Man movie ever again. And here I am. To Andrew Garfield, to Marc Webb, to Laura Ziskin, to everybody involved. Thank you.

Now don't **** it up.

Yea ok, maybe to you but TDKR doesnt look like the spectacle everyone is making it out to be. I honestly dont think that movie will be as TDK and I honestly dont think Bane will be as good a villian as Joker. We have no idea what this trailer will deliver. I'm hoping we see somthing spectacular next week.

Thank you for proving my point. Spideyfan866 is already blowing TDKR out of the water and the TASM trailer hasn't even aired yet. Overboard hype is what it is.

Let's see...Nolan has made two incredibly successful Batman films both by critics and general audiences and nothing, NOTHING so far has even indicated that this trend will stop. TDKR based on the success of the previous two films is the most anticipated movie for next summer. Nolan could show a trailer with Bats taking a crap and that won't change anything. See what I did there.

Look, I am very excited for TASM....VERY excited. But let's not count our chickens before they have hatched.

Next week, no longer will The Amazing Spider-Man be the film that most have all but forgotten about.

Next week, No longer will The Avengers be the seen as the Marvel property that will the most successful this summer.

Next week, No longer will The Dark Knight Rises be seen as most anticipated, the most hyped and the best looking comic book movie of 2012.

Next week, The Amazing Spider-Man will become the most anticpated, the most hyped, and the best looking movie of 2012.

Next week, The Amazing Spider-Man will be seen as the property that will be most sucessful.

Next week it all changes.

Next week, the Untold Story Begins.

The Martin Luther King Jr. of nerds.

So what ! That movie might suck for all you know. You havent seen a thing from Spiderman except pics and a teaser, and TDKR had two trailers. Its just the fanboys that are hyping this up to be the god amoung movies. You honestly have no idea whats going to happen until the movie comes out. I remember we said Raimi could do no wrong and that Spiderman 3 will be the greatest superhero film of all time. Looked what happened. We dont know if TDKR will be epic we just have to wait and see.

It's certainly true that TDKR may suck. But what have you seen that would indicate TDKR as a bad movie? Nothing. TDKR's anticipation is due to the fact that Begins and TDK were so hugely successful. TASM does not have the same kind of reference. TDKR is the most anticipated movie for next summer based on the fact that it is the end of a trilogy that so far has pointed to being another great addition. There's nothing to prove otherwise.

I am a Spider-man fan at heart and honestly I don't find Batman nearly as interesting. However, Bats has had great success with Nolan's films and it is not fanboyism to say that the next movie will be epic.

Well to me it just didnt seem to wow me like the TDK trailers did. The lack of batman in that trailer was weird. Bane sounds Really funny. I dont know thats just me.

The Joker IMO, is Batman's number one villain. I guess once he's been used everyone else seems a bit blah, maybe? I dunno. I'm still excited for this movie.

Well said.

Yea I am too but I havent seen anything that wowed me like the dark knight did.

Where's the official source of a 2min 30sec trailer coming out in a week and a half? I don't see it on the official site or their facebook page.

Alberta trailer classification. It's never been wrong. Ever.

I just want to say many people and critics will be comparing the box office results of TASM against Avengers, not TDKR why ? because TDKR is the Third movie in a trilogy that is already established and the other reason being that both are Marvel related properties.

Only fans in these boards will try to see who is better in terns of collections bats or spidey.

Oh Yeah just received my tickets for the Sydney sneak peek. So excited to see what their going to show.

I'm a spidey fan first and foremost so my most anticipated movie is spidey which is a blessing and a curse because my expectations are way too high.

for avengers all I am expectating is a poopcorn flick anything above and beyond that is a bonus

for TDKR all I am expectating is to be entertained, I don't like bane (one note) I don't like catwoman (contrived love interest). more than likely nolan will knock it out of the park but I'm not that bothered if he doesn't.

I almost wish I could put my love of spidey to one side because the highs and lows are multiplied X10. after I saw SM2 I was walking on air but the disappointment of SM3 hit me like a ton of bricks (and it is actually an entertaining movie).

anyway, long and the short of it is ASM is my most anticipated movie by miles to the point where I'm almost not bothered by other movies but I'm sure my hype will grow for avengers and TDKR the closer they get to being released

I'm excited for Batman as well but the way people are hyping it and dissing spidey is just ridiculous. I just have to see the trailer to see if it will renew my hope in seeing spiderman on the big screen again. I really hope and pray it does.

I wonder how strict the security is going to be on filming at the sneak previews on Feb 6th?

Since it's showing in many cities around the world, unlike back in 2011 at SDCC only.

:)

the fans I feel sorry for are the green lantern fans. imagine waiting for forever for spidey and the first time he hit the big screen THAT is what we were given. :barf:

Oh yeah. I feel for them. It should've been so much better and elicited more than a "it was serviceable" response. Spider-Man has had it pretty good in terms of movies up to this point. Love the first two. The third has its problems, but it also has its moments. The new trailer will give us all a better idea what we're in store for, but I don't think it's too unreasonable to expect something in the Spider-Man 2 vicinity.

I think this will be special. And I'm not knocking the Raimi films when I say this: We've had three films that covered what works and what doesn't. I'm thinking Sony will have been smart enough and honest with themselves about this and have been able to build on the great things the Raimi films gave us, and also rework or cut the elements that didn't work so well.

Sure, it'll probably make its own mistakes, but nothing is ever perfect.

Agreed. Though I do feel that TDKR is at great risk of seeming like a structural rehash of TDK.

Prologue introducing the villain? I mean come on. Plus, I personally think the TDK was better because the Joker wasn't revealed as being one of the thugs until the end.

I do. if I had a superhero check list then SM2 ticks virtually check box for me and I think it's too much expect this movie to do the same. for one the new movie has to tell and origin but SM2 didn't.
