That budget.

A 2 year old could create better marketing than that video.

That scene was good but it kinda cliche.

What makes it cool was that it used somewhat cliche horror techniques (and I hesitate to even call Raimi's approach to horror cliche because nobody really makes horror movies like him) but in the context of a superhero movie, which was actually pretty damn original.

That's what she said. :p

I just hope the final battle doesn't have Gwen being captured by lizard or something like that. That was one of my minor gripes with Sam Rami's spidey movies. MJ got captured and needed to be rescued in the final battle in all three movies. Hopefully, they will switch it up this time. Also I am hoping that the new trailer will give us at least a quick glimpse of Lizard. I don't mind him looking kinda human but he needs to have a snout of some sort lol.

Agreed. 1 and 2 both had burning building scenes as well. I mean jesus, talk about lazy script writing.

I mean really, was it a requirement to have "MJ gets captured by (insert villain here) in the script?

In order for MJ to discover Spider-Man was Peter Parker and end her relationship with JJ's son thus creating the MJ/Peter Parker couple...yeah, it served a purpose.

And the GG capture served the purpose of showing Peter just how dangerous it could be for the lives of those associated with him. That being his family and one he's loved most all his life.

So yeah, it was a requirement. :D

I think it was Sam Rami's idea to have MJ captured in the final battle for all three movies. It worked for the first movie, but doing it in the second and third movie just seemed to be over doing it. That was just lazy filmmaking on his part IMO. Though I am not bashing him the movies are still good.

Spidey is slowly crawling through the sewers and believes he hears something coming up on the left side. He approaches and sees nothing there...hears something sinister though.

He turns around and sees Lizard standing there in all his glory. Before Peter even attempts to do anything else he looks up and says

Clever girl.

I think the Lizards first appearance in the movie should make audience members go Holy S***! It should be some bada** moment and it should have spidey making some wise crack.

I have a feeling his first appearance will be the scene they showed at Comic-Con with him in the bathroom.

So the rumors about the gators in the sewers aarrre truuuuuuue.

maybe... if it is I'm actually glad I haven't seen the comic con footage, I don't want to see the introduction scene until I watch the movie
