Actually, the Nolan films are about as faithful as the Burton films were, so that wouldn't be the case.
When did the Sam Raimi films feel like "Spider-Man In Name Only"?

For Batman, I GUESS you can say that depending on the era of Batman you pick. But I like the serious Batman comics more, so the Nolan films definitely fit there better.

& the Rami movies felt like "Spider-Man in Name Only" when Peter was being a whiny b****, when Spider-Man was "super srs" & not joking, when Peter took his mask off during EVERY final battle, when Ock was a sympathetic villain & basically 90% of Spider-Man 3.

In spider-man 3, when MJ breaks up with Peter at the bridge because of Harry, why didn't MJ just tell him? Didn't she know Peter was Spidey? someone said it in the one video with the guy talking about the things and the Spider-man trilogy.

Agreed. I think Raimi's films were good for the awe factor as is was the first time we saw these characters portrayed on screen. But as far as the character's personalities go, it was only a Spider-man film in name.

Agreed; for me, I have somewhat of a love and hate relationship with Raimi's films.

Like I said before, I hope that ASM has taken to account on all of the mistakes that Raimi's films made: (Whiny Peter, Motivation based on love interest, MJ's characterization and the constant love triangles, Campy moments that don't feel right, etc).

I want this new Spiderman series to really show the layers of Spiderman's character that we haven't had a chance to see on the big screen yet.

Burton's Batman is based on the Golden Age Batman, which were serious, and Batman was a weird, mysterious creature in the night.

Nolan's Batman is based more so on the modern Batman.

I actually liked the sympathetic Doc Ock. He wasn't too far off from the comics version at his best.

lol, well THAT narrows it down!

But yeah, I thought that, too. There was a heck of a lot that bugs me about that film (not even storywise, but production choices). I greatly enjoyed SM1 (which did feel too kiddish for my tastes) and SM2, though.

You're probably talking about the Nostalgia Critic video where counted down the dumbest moments of the Raimi series.

He said that rather than breaking up with Peter, she should have told him what was happening and be lick "He's over there, go kick his ass!".

He most likely meant the Nostalgia Critic video where he counted down the dumbest moments in the Spider-man films.

Nolan did Batman justice, imo, but '89 Batman will always have a place in my heart...I don't care for the other Burton/Schumacher films, but '89 Batman will always mean something special.

I love both the Burton and Nolan films as well.

Is there a good chance those who got tickets regularly could meet whoever is there too?

And congrats man!

I'm getting my work schedule tomorrow. If I can go, the thing says 3.

So it'd be safe to get there between 11 and 12.

I'll be there hours early if I can go, bringing my headphones to get by.

You don't take an opportunity like this and show up at the last minute.

Wait. Just to clarify, because I already have my ticket...are both of ours VIP or was Comingsoon.Net's tickets special?

Either way, can't imagine how pumped you are haha. I know I am.

I have no clue but I think the tix from comingsoon are special because they had specific instructions to check in with a sony rep

You guys are gonna laugh in my face and call me a fool but I have to say this; on the official website for the movie, in the story section, it doesnt mention anything about the death of Peters uncle. Should I be worried?
