R. Lee Ermey and Dennis Farina have always been my fan picks for JJJ. The thing with Jameson is that he's really more of a caricature than a character. Almost nobody can be like that and be believable. He's always 'on'. About the only character I've ever seen in films that's equivalent would be Ermey's drill sergeant from Full Metal Jacket.

Ermey is too old for the role now though. Maybe ten years ago but now... nah.

It's funny you mentioned that because I remember reading something years ago, around the time spider-man 2 came out and of course I forget where I read the article at, but the article talked about the humor of the two movies so far and how spider-man was really the butt of the jokes in the movies instead of the source of the humor as he should be. Whether it's JJJ making jokes at his expense, Mr. Ditkovitch, Flash even Aunt May. Meanwhile, spidey is just a mute

With very few exceptions, the main characters were almost always out of character. It really started taking its toll.

Touche...I always said that her complaints she threw at him in the third one made NO sense aside from him kissing Gwen. But she's upset her career is floundering and he's trying to tell her to keep it up don't worry it'll get better and then relate it to what he's gone through and she snaps at him..Woman, what else can I do but encourage you and show you how I've come out of it?? Aside from whatever Peter said about her in the 1st movie, I never actually SAW why he was so into her and that's bad writing in my opinion. It's always better to show instead of telling and their relationship was full of telling.

And I don't care HOW mad you are at your boyfriend, you do not go over his best friends house and start a flirting session while doing the twist

They both should. JJ is comedic in the comics as well. That comic posted on the previous page is proof of that.

Totally agree, JJ's character over 3 movies had been reduced to a caricature or a joke. A character with no substance that could NOT be taken seriously. ESPECIALLY when he and the little girl's back and forth in the final battle of SM3 while this supposed life and death battle was going on.

I hope, and would LOVE to see a totally different take on JJ's character in the reboot. I think his storyline if handled correctly, could be very powerful and poignant.

Man, Tusday night I had only 3 hrs of sleep and woke up at 6 am then worked for 12 hrs straight. At the beginning of my work, I was thinking about the trailer repeatedly lol..for like 4 hours or more :P

I think that the trailer was so AMAZING. When I was watching it, I was like omgomgomg and nerdgasm-ed so hard. Sorry I wasn't with you guys on that night and yesterday. Last month, I decided to take a break from here for a while but I am happy I came here on the right time.

Trailer: I LOVE the colourful and gritty the trailer at the same. Spidey= perfection [ joking, how he moved, swinging, fighting, so fast, dodged the bullets, badass ] It blew my mind away to the moon. Peter Parker= ( that's all I can say lol). I am soo excited that the final battle will place on the top of the building. It will so epic like no ****. One thing that concerned me is Spidey without the mask. Idk but we can wait and see.

Lizard? I was wondering who won the bet? :P

Okay, I like the size, shape, texture, GCI, and colour except, of course lol, the snout. I hope that it will grow long and longer as the story goes. Maybe, right after the lizard born, he should be more like human-ish then near the end of story.. he should be like 85-95% of "lizard". Ya I know that everyone already said that too. I dont think I will LOVE the Lizard but not HATE it either.
