Exactly two years ago...when I first joined this site, I would think about the announcement of the reboot and just get depressed. Literally watched all 3 Raimi films and started to get upset.

Now, I get more excited for the film every MOTHER ******* DAY AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!

Maybe he mutates weirdly? I dunno. I think it was just for a more monstrous look, to push the fact that the change isn't natural.

Whatever the reason, it looks awful.

Its believed that arm has four digits because thats the arm that regrew.

and BTW, Some Lizards do have four digits.

Most (to my knowledge) have 5 digits. Can you provide some specific examples of lizards with 4 digits?

Why? I think it looks cool. It makes him look like a monster. Especially since his other hand has all 5.

Because it looks deformed, as in "wouldn't survive in the wild" deformed. And I would have preferred that both hands have all 5 digits.

It's supposed to look deformed. And what does "surviving in the wild" have to do with anything? He's in New York, and it wouldn't truly affect his grabbing ability.

What I'm saying is that it looks like the effect of a debilitating genetic disease. And overall, I think that they should have just given him 5 digits on both hands.

The mutated lizard/human hybrid isn't 'realistic' enough. :o

That's not it at all. My problem is that the change is pointless. Humans have 5 fingers, as do lizards, as does the Lizard in the comics. Don't "fix" what isn't broken.

Most species of skinks have long, tapering tails that they can shed if a predator grabs the tail. Such species generally can regenerate the lost part of a tail, though imperfectly. Species with stumpy tails have no special regenerative abilities.

see.

No, but I don't understand why it was changed, other than for the sake of change.

That's why I suggest waiting for some context before calling it pointless - you don't know Webb's intentions. It's the same side as Connor's missing arm - it might have something to do with that, or a misstep in the experiment, or it could just be because Webb thought it would be cool.

But we don't know. Don't be the guy who complains about every tiny detail without anything to back it up.

Yeah...so did anyone notice that the webshooters in the close up in the trailer were different from the ones in promo and set pics?

Maybe he upgrades them through the movie like making them smaller, and painting them blue and less fluid expense, i don´t know :yay:
