it really is. don't drag them in this nonsense, they're too pure for that. And more importantly than that, I figure there are a lot of people who spend so much time on message boards and the internet in general that they can't separate this world from real life. Regular fans who don't talk about this stuff everyday or dissect every picture or every second of a trailer are excited for it because it's spider-man, it's a summer flick and it'll be the fourth of July. This isn't some unknown property with no cache or a small cache, it's spider-man. Will it make as much as spider-man 3 or the dark knight or dark knight rises or avengers? probably not but that doesn't mean it'll make 100 million worldwide either. If it makes 3 or 4 million worldwide, or definitely 5, that's a success. It doesn't need to break records to be a success, just be a success period. I know some on here harp on the marketing but again, it's April, the flick comes out in July. They've done as much as they probably should by now and once May and June comes, we'll probably be sick of Spidey by then. Bottom line though, don't let the internet world fool you because if that was the case, The Cabin in the woods would've been the number one movie last week (loved it btw)
